SBW sinbinned for shoulder charge on debut

Very predictable but still amusing.

SBW's two biggest tools are virtually useless in union. What was he thinking?

Well done Mundine/Nasser, you've taken an impressionable kid and stuffed his life up!

Mundine...should clean up his own backyard before rubbishing others.

Sure he'll have to be more careful but I think he can still do it. The good centers in union do. Will be interesting to see how he adapts.
Umaga said he found the attributes of a great union player in SBW. As Umaga is fully aware of the differences between the codes I think he's got every confidence Williams will make it.

Part of me thinks this could turn embarrassing for all concerned. Just like when the RFU signed Farrell from Wigan, you get the impression that much of the motivation is simply to get one over on rugby league.

IMO Williams is tailor made for rugby league but might struggle in union. He certainly won't be as entertaining in union as two of his biggest gifts (offloads and big hits) will be negated to some degree.

All he needs to remember is lead with the shoulder then wrap the arms around. Jerry Collins is there he'll be able to show him.

f**king LOL. I was hoping for an injury, but this is probably funnier because it shows him for the dumb sh*t he is

Go to Youtube and watch some clips of SBW shoulder charging opponents from a side on position. This isn't something that will be easy for him to fix.

The sad thing is, this is one of the things that made SBW so special in league, yet in union he's gonna be stripped of this part of his armoury. What a waste.

After apologising to Laussucq Arnaud, who hit the ground heavily, Williams was marched for 10 minutes by the referee and did not return to the field for the rest of the match.
Following the game, the bemused Frenchman described the incident as feeling "like an electrocution".

Once he starts using his arms in the tackle he will still be lethal.

Go SBW

Packed house of 3000??????? Which was probably 2678 or the like. Great move Sonny, very challenging!

You know its a big sport when you play in front of a "packed house" of 3000!!

sh*t NBL games got more than that??

SBW could probably take a sh*t in public and draw a bigger crowd than that in Sydney

Well it was a trial so maybe it was in some dodgy ground. Apparently Toulons ground is 15k but the game wouldn't be as big as Nrl.

Indeed. Away to a third-division side, small town, capacity 3000.
The crowd loved the shoulder charge apparently pity they're not allowed in union. With union being pro now they should waive that.

Suck sh*t SBW

What's the bet that he is gonna take off to Argentina because the referee didn't show enough loyalty to him?

SBW should have read this on his plane flight over...

So his signature move is now as valued as his actual signature. This is going to end badly for SBW. He'll be lucky to earn a bus driver's salary in a few years.
