Johnson in doubt, come on down Peter

Australia's spearhead Mitchell Johnson is in doubt for the fourth Test against India after complaining of hamstring soreness.

Johnson did not travel to the SCG on Saturday for Australia's first training session following a heavy workload in the first three Tests of the summer, and will have his hamstring assessed closer to the start of the match.

However, the presence of Mitchell Starc and Peter Siddle in the home side's squad for the fourth Test provides plenty of options for the selectors at a time when they may also be conscious of granting Johnson some rest to ensure he is fresh ahead of the World Cup.

At least Watson can look back and say he was a half decent test cricketer, Ishant Sharma is a complete failure as a test bowler

both half decent/ordinary, really not sure what you're thinking there

ABC news just reported Mitch is out of the 4th test as Boof will not take any chances with his fitness.

To be replaced by Sids or Starc. Wouldn't be surprised if it was Starc as it would be leftie for leftie, seems to be how our selectors think.

Personally, I prefer him over Sids, as Sids will toil away all day for no wickets, yets Starc does have that unplayable ball he serves up now and them, amongst some shit balls, but thats how Notch is bowling atm, so it would be like for like.

Or he may be replaced by Agar the Horrible which would be even worse.

lol I know its flavour of the month to hate on Watson around here, but its nuts to say he's as bad as Ishant Sharma in test cricket.

Average, annoying and under achieving is far different to absolute crap

Boof said he wont be treating it like a dead rubber, he wants to win.

Personally I like Sean Abbott for a spot, he really is in some form atm and has had decent ODI and 4 day form all year. Probably too far down the pecking order to get a run but possibly get an ODI game later this month.

Stinks of rotation and protecting him for the WC. If the series was 1 all he'd be playing.

The reality is it is a dead rubber and Siddle or starc seem like pointless choices as a result. Maybe cummins or pattinson to make a return. Maybe try someone else. As long as they don't pick agar. That would be the worst choice of a all. If they want two spinners smith bowling more overs would be a better choice. Or even warner. Or both.

Anyone with sense has been hating for years. He's a selfish dud

Marsh was pretty much out last week.

Just getting my head around why Agar was brought in as cover when Starc and Siddle were there.. Is he a smokey for the World cup squad? and they are just trying to get him to be amongst a squad rather than playing slap and tickle? who knows probably 20 possible suggestions
