Season 2021

I don't get why he says it or why fans say it. I just watched our last game and he was really good apart from doing one stupid kick on the first tackle. He has to get rid of that poor play and just get himself involved. He can tackle, he can make a break and create a break and he is great around the middle at backing up players who have made a bust. He doesn't have to be Peter Sterling.

Brooks almost has everything he needs for a renaissance. Liddle will get the forwards rolling and actually give him the ball when he wants. He'll have some pace in his outside backs and another playmaking option in AD. Get Garner running off him and a fullback with some speed who is actually willing to support up the middle to finish off half chances and we might give things a decent shake.

The one thing different for Brooks in 2021 is that both Farah & Benji are no longer there. They always dominated him, or at least, he let them. I think he was intimidated by playing with guys he idolised growing up. So now he will be the senior guy in the spine, if he has it in him to call the shots we will see it.

Hope so, so much depends on it.

I wish debut Brooks played all the time. He was incredible in that game.

I hope in 2021 he can at least consistently get line drop outs. We rarely put pressure on the other team when we are up their end...

I think the squad is coming along. Size and Speed.

Brooks is the problem for me though. Have been hoping he'd be what we want him to be for a long time now and he hasn't put one memorable season together for mine.

Not sure too many clubs would keep a highly paid 7 who has never played in a semi, like we have.

Something does seem off, first Mitchell signs for about 400k less than we offered and if the reported dogs contract is correct JAC signs for less than we offered.

Is he playing fullback for them? It would be similar to Val Holmes where is probably better at playing on the wing. I still think main issue with us is any star playing coming they know they would be the top 3 players at the club but others are on a lot more where the Bulldogs have signed Cotric already and this then attracts Addo Carr. Same with Laterall he could have come but the isn't an attraction until the player coming knows others stars can also be signed. If we had Latrell then Addo Carr would probably sign as well.

I think the players are on a 3 day training event prior to Christmas. I'm 100% confident they had wrestling training at 4 am this morning. Personally I don't see any benefit from getting up that early to train but I suppose that is what they mean when they state that Madge kills them.

They start early to finish early, so they can get on the grog for their xmas party:)
