the selectors prefer having a spread of players from most states than having the bulk of the NSW line up in the team ... 3/4 of the team would be from NSW if they picked the team properly and the selectors won't do it

The electors need to bite the bullet and drop Clarke, bring in D.Hussey. Just because Clarke is blonde and decent looking doesn't mean he should be in the Australian side. He only averages 42 in first class cricket, get rid of him.

Thats it really. You should be very solid, taking limited risks, while still hitting the bad balls. Sweeping across the line, wild slashes outside off stump (which did come off every time fine, but its risky), clearing fieldsman and walking at the quickbowlers are not educated shots.

The positive approach is good for cricket, but there are times you dont employ it. This is the third time tests have been blown in India due to this dumb theory:

- This test
- Chasing 90 on a minefield a few years ago (Yeah it was a minefield, but we had guys caught on the boundary etc)
- 2001 2nd test , final day. We had 2 sessions to bat out , chasign 350 with 10 wickets and decided to go all out pointlessly.

Pretty much well said, the absymal shots yesterday were horrid..and now Haddin goes..ffs, there is one positive and least the tripe will be over soon!

you mean clarke who is currently on 44 and the only one who looks like NOT getting out? forgetting his hundreds against india and the west indies? ... what a random outburst ... what does clarke have to do with this batting collapse?

Watson top scored in the first innings, does that mean he should be automatically selected for every test?
