It wasn’t a shoulder charge, it was a push! Can't wait to do the station surfing this afternoon and hear the commentators tell us what a shame that a RL 'great' is going to miss out on playing his last game because of a tackle where there was no malice in it and no one got hurt.
Todd Greenberg talks about the integrity of the game and other such things, well Todd, using your shoulder in a tackle is not allowed, it's a rule introduced to protect the ball carrier. It's a rule that was not designed to be interpreted in such a way whereby for example, the ball carrier was not hurt, he got straight up. It is a rule. Lets see how your mob hold up that rule, for the integrity of the game.
For the integrity of the game, I might add,
i. the NRL should also look at the 'attacking' of the legs (I won't call it tackling) from behind when there are 2 defenders already holding a ball carrier up and that ball carrier is not moving forward. It is a cheap shot.
ii. the crusher tackle must have stronger punishment, the NRL want it outlawed but using G Inglis as an example, it should not matter if a player has a clean record and therefore no carry over points. If it's done, so is the player responsible for at least 1 game. Then the carry over points come into it, e.g. L Mitchell would miss 1 game automatically and then another due to carry over points. But that is only if the NRL wanted integrity and wanted to protect players.
That’s not a shoulder charge. That is a shove.
Are you ok?His hands were out in front of him and made contact with the Sharks player first who shoulder charged Slater away. Why wasn’t the Sharks winger charged ffs?
Hodges lost the game.I don’t think most sensible people give a f what you think. Btw, Hodges says hi.
What do you care? Souths are f**king finished tonight!Whilst I don’t think this should be the kind of thing that is banned his arms were only involved as they’re attached to his body. There was no effort to wrap the player with them.
If the NRL want to change the rules in the off season that’s fine by me but this is a shoulder charge by the NRLs own ruling.
No off-field incidents to speak of

Well except for the extra contract business, of course.
Yeah I'm sure he was the mastermind behind that one

Consistently? So you mean the same as what Waqa Blake got? Or the same as Kalyn Ponga got? They both got nothing for very similar tacklesI’m a fan of rugby league and want to see the rules applied consistently.
So he was innocent in it?
Himmler wasn’t the mastermind behind national socialism, he wasn’t innocent though.
Oh yeah, the players knew nothing.
Unexpected new boat in the driveway?
Unexpected kitchen makeover?
Seems legit.
How's your mate Greg Inglis going?
Players do what their managers tell them they should. Can't blame young players for having faith that their manager has done due diligence. I'm sure they weren't shepherded into a separate secret lair to sign a second contract with Mr Burns sitting at his desk.
It's been pretty clear throughout this thread that you are either a completely biased Souths fan, or a wowser without a real feel for the game. Or both.
