Every good team needs 3 good halves or in our case 4 good halves/fullbacks. Nice problem to have once Nicho is right. At least now Nicho's origin aspirations should be done and dusted. Messed with him both this year and last.

Yep, and as our million-dollar signing and his 3rd year as our premier half, this is not a good sign. Missed a kick from the sideline and missed a sitter f/g right in front. Both would have probably got us the 2 points as we had the ascendency in both games imo. This is what you sign these players for, not to get the yips and stumble about while you regain your mojo.

Trindall needs to get his hands on the ball more, and be the dominant half. I know Nicho’s the “marquee” player, but you could argue the same for Munster at the Storm. He just hangs back and picks his moments, leaving the bulk of it to Hughes. Why not these two?

I had a quick look at stats for “receipts” and it seems when Nicho and Tricky play together Nicho has upwards of 60 a match and Tricky around 40.

That was reversed for Tricky and DA and I’d argue went a fair way towards the team playing more direct.

I’d like to see the same thing happen when Nicho and Tricky play together.

Nicho demands ball too much in his current state, both love to play when getting hands on ball multiple times a set, trindall grows into a game by building it through his kicking game, I don’t think trindall can play locked on a edge.
Maybe nicho might be different when he returns
