“He had until September to tell us if he wanted to invoke that clause but he told us he was happy to stay and made statements of intent to that effect,” Hetherington said.

so he has signed nothing. So they registered a verbal agreement? How?

I think perhaps this is what he is relying on. There seems to be a contract that he signed.

“I wouldn’t say I was pressured into taking up an option to re-sign with Leeds, but I certainly didn’t have the support network I lean on when I make key life decisions.

“I told them I can’t make the decision to take up the option without sitting down with my family.

“But we had a deadline and I had to make a decision. That’s what I’ve explained to Gary throughout this period.”

I personally see no need for James, we have the next Cameron Smith.

Have Mortimer or Cherrington take the first 20 minutes, then let the young man who is good enough to do his thing.

So it sounds like he signed a 1 year deal with a 2 year option in his favour which he took up(no idea about how that is done). Honestly the more I read about this the more I feel like his manager has just promised him he will be able to sort this release out.

Anyway I feel for the guy, f**k living in north England and being alone all the time. I understand not wanting to go back completely.

Why isn't not paying him breach of contract on Leeds part?

It isn't. As betcats has pointed out, Segeyaro is in breach of his contract with Leeds by not turning up to training, which would be part of his contractual obligations to Leeds (along with playing). As such they would not pay him. It would be the same if you took unapproved leave from your employer, they would not pay you whilst you were away for the same reason.

I'm with you
Segeyaro is a good footy player but so was that dope who drank his own piss for the camera.

Brailey is a local with a huge future
Build it around him and the other young dudes.

It would be for a lot of people, someone who grew up in North queensland especially. Anyway im happy for Leeds to play hardball, he should of just opted out if he wanted to come home, he has put himself in a terrible situation now.

Most of us would work a few years in Siberia for that sort of coin. The guy's dumb as shit and easily led.

Anyway im happy for Leeds .

We're happy you are happy. We might be happy too when , 2 or 3 of your top flight players get season ending injuries, ruining yet another year for the Pennies. But , we won't. You see we have class. You would not catch us saying we are happy for that player to have a broken hip, because Pentrith refuse to enter the modern era when it comes to fitness, training & especially, conditioning.

Yeah it must be a real hardship for him. Imagine the shock he must have got signing for Leeds and then having to live in Leeds. The horror.

Faarrk...what's that stench??

So what are they suing for? No money to get back. Are they seeking punitive damages? I would guesstimate they are suing for his services which Hetherington has closed the door on.

What a cluster phuque
