The fact of the matter is they knew Ennis was leaving for a long time. They have put all their eggs in the one basket with the Segwa.
They now need to break the eggs and see who scrambles the best.
Or maybe bake a cake.....

Well, Ennis egg-xited a year early so we were running around like a headless chicken for someone.
Wasn't many left in the basket, Morts was the best we could get.

Just employ Seggy as a trainer and let him run the water Alfie style. Be on there for the full 70 minutes

Yes hookers are very important....but not at the cost it will be to get him.

He needs to lower his contract amount to offset the transfer fee.

The problem is Cardy he has a market value that the NRL set.

If memory serves me correct, Seggy had a minimum market value of 250k.

So we have to ask ourselves, is he really worth a minimum of 650k for this year?

The $400k transfer fee will be a moot point if he actually wins. Seggy @ $250k is a bloody no brainer!!!

Someone please explain to me how he can walk away from a contract and *win* a court case? Don't give me the palava about a handshake deal or similar. Leeds would have quietly let him go if that were the case. The fact they're standing firm would indicate they've had advice that they are in a strong position.

hes worth every Penny of 650 if we want to win. if we want to just run around , show the colours, play Brailey.
Where do you think the 650 is going to come from Coifey ? Maybe Seggy should have been smarter when we were sniffing around last year. He's farrkked himself over and will be lucky to play any footy this year. In the meantime lets have a look at Brailey in the top grade before writing him off.

Lets take the name out of it then & look at it from a common sense point of view.
How many teams have won a GF(not a back to back) with a first year hooker?

Probably not many....even less with a first year fullback and hooker. That's my point Coifey....chances are we won't go back to back regardless (last 20 years says that). Despite being premiers we are just beginning a transition to prepare for the next 5-10 years. This year we're replacing Benny and Ennis and next year most likely Gal, Lewie and Heino at the least. Thats about 1200 games of experience right there. Only my opinion but I think we need to be grateful for the drought-breaking premiership and forget about the unlikely event that we will be going back-to back and concentrate on building a side that will be very competitive for the next decade.

I think we all want seggy but i don't want to break the bank doing it.

A $400k invoice on top of his sign on is breaking the bank imo.

Perhaps we should form one of those special clubs inside the club like the Donks have. Instead of the George Thoroughbred Club we could call ourselves The Great Whites Club.

It's a bloody shame Reefy is no longer about. He had links to State Bank Managers, QC's and stuff. The right people to get one up and running.

We are already that side.
Do you think the top 24 players & 12 reserve graders would be happy knowing that they had a shot a title, if the club landed a specialist, experienced hooker, but took the cheaper, long term approach to blood a youngster for 2-3 years? I know I wouldnt be as a supporter.Levae the foot on the throat & always be a top 4 team. We are the best placed club in the league now to achieve that.

Every single play begins with the number 9 at dummy half.

Every single one.

Did l mention every single play in every set is orchestrated by the service of this guy?

Sort of important to have a guy with some potency.
