I think he will be 21 in april actually being born in 96. The biggest thing for this kid or any young hooker coming in will be knowing who to give the ball too. Its well known Gal likes to get involved with the attack and you have Graham there also. If Gal or Graham is calling the ball the same time as Maloney who gets it? That was one of Ennis big strengths, reading the game and knowing where the ball should go.

1 thing at a time perhaps was the instructions?

Concentrate on fast, clean service?

There was an interview with him before the WCC and he said just that...that Flanno told him to just focus on making his tackles and providing good service

And as the year goes on he will learn to run and make good yards, the kicking is what will take time. This is also where we will miss, "Ennis the Earl of Engadine"

Well he sure did that...& well for his first go.

I thought so too. The first time I saw him play you could tell he was a natural hooker, natural crisp service. I guess he's a year or two off being ready to be a complete hooker like Ennis was, but he'll get there for sure...Will need the halves to do a lot more work in organising the forwards for him. I even think it's to Braileys advantage having halves who get lost of the ball...teams when tired might stop considering him a threat and that's probably when he'll come into his own

Code for being off loaded. Absolutely no to Peats. poor guy plays too hard & is a busted wreck.

Code for being off loaded haha

He only went up there as a last resort. He was never going to settle in QLD. Both he and his mrs are from Sydney and they are struggling without their network close by.

As nellshark said he won't come cheap. The fact he can start a game at Hooker and finish at lock is a plus

Saw that Kurt Dillon (local junior front-rower) has just been signed to a one-year deal with the Sharks. Looks like we'll have our second local junior (Brailey) in the 17 (joining Chad). Like the direction the club appears to be headed in re local juniors.

YES to Peats if he becomes available. He is amongst the best currently. Be good if we could get him on a two year deal to bring Brailey through.

Still hope Seggy rolls into our team at some point this year tho.

You need and you spend big$$$ on hookers. Spine players of huge importance.

Yes hookers are very important....but not at the cost it will be to get him.

He needs to lower his contract amount to offset the transfer fee.

It's bubbling to the surface that he (reneged on a deal &) got himself into this mess & now won't take responsibility for his actions.

Bit like another recent sharks spine player
