Your thought on the centres is 100% correct but IMO Lomax will not be selected on the wing.
Perreira and Pearson and Lomax to bide his time in reggies.
Lawrie will also get a reggies ticket due to signing K Sims because our illustrious leader will still go with a back on the bench.
The mind set and media statement will be something like this
"We did well last year considering all the adversity and injuries late in the season, our young players did really well but what we lacked was 1 or 2 more senior player and we have now adressed that with Korbin coming in and Pearson already has 11 NRL games under his belt and would have had more except for the great depth at the Broncos. This extra depth will place us in a better position during SOO and at the back end of the season"
1000% correct.

Tigers came out the best in all this. Maguire won a comp in 2014 and when he left Souths left them in top shape for Seibold to reap reward with a team that finally had no injuries. That was teh only reason Souths did not kick on after they won under Madge. Bennett since 2010 lost a GF and left a huge pile of turds in Knights and Saints. Cleary has been tipped for big things and won nothing. Hasler destroyed Dogs. So if you look at the last 5 years Maguire is miles ahead of the others in achievements. And to rub it in, beats the Aussies in his first game as Kiwi coach.

Saints missed the boat here big time. Oh well, Barrett is available. My tip is he will get the nod when Mary does go. If not Hornby/Young. As they say, old boys club.

Tigers came out the worst from the coach swap.
Panthers- Cleary is an excellent coach and an upgrade on the current caretaker clearly.
Broncos- Seibold seems to be a very good coach and will have a gun roster. I'd say they are top 4 for sure with a tactical coach like Seibold.
Manly- Hasler is an upgrade on Barrett. Barrett is a rookie that seems like a sulk. Still, Manly will miss the eight.
Souths- Bennett is a downgrade on Siebold and is a massive gamble.
Tigers- Basket case of a club. Had that many coaches over the years and never make the eight. Madge isn't going to help. He'll be nowhere and tigers will be be bottom 4.

Cleary an excellent coach?
If his son wasn't pulling the strings he wouldn't be there. Panthers have lost the plot.
Coaching stats are worse than our fearless leader.

It shall be interesting to see just how the ‘ new ‘ coaches do perform. As Slippery Morris has said the situations that they leave behind , compared to what they now find themselves in will be totally different .

They all must now weld their respective teams into final 8 material and nothing less in the first season . Despite all the media fanfare I just cannot see that happening in some cases , so there will be some very disappointed fans and officials at one or two of those clubs next year .

Agree, and add to the pressure of being a head coach where their key player is his son, Hmmm ..

We all knew it would happen, but suddenly Cleary's credentials as a coach have mysteriously risen with no valid rationale. Time will tell, but this is a massive long term gamble for Gould.

To think, some clubs had to move heaven& hell to end up being disappointed with their coach for next season.

We didnt have to do shat!

Madness!
Its Souths vs ???? in next years GF - that's the guarantee I predict that Bennett will deliver the Rabbitohs - his influence is that great that Burgess, Inglis, Gagai, Reynolds will become super players and don't forget Pangai Jnr following Benett now that Crichton is gone...

It is Easts vs ???? in next year's GF. Easts will win it too. Manu and Mitchell both had breakout seasons and would be close to the best 2 centres in the game. They took half a season to click, they should continue to click next year. They will have the addition of Crichton. Radley should continue to improve.

Pangai just signed a one year deal with Brisbane and said that he will be there next year. I think he will be at Souths in 2020.

I think Brisbane look second pick. They will have Gillett back next year. Haas will be a great addition to their pack. Lodge will be better for this year. They have numerous young forwards who are all great prospects. I am still not convinced of Nikorima though.

I do expect Souths to do well again.

I think Melbourne will really start to show the effects of no Slater and Cronk and Smith will be another year older. They still do have a very good pack, but I can't see them winning next year's comp.

If we could manage to sign 2 good outside backs, such as Rapana and Leilua(they were both mentioned as players we may be attempting to sign mid contract), then we would be a serious threat to the premiership too.

But to think that we could have got Bennett and Pangai for next season, if we were proactive and probably Oates too.
