I think its a good sign. When wayne came to saints he saw we were very close to something special and thought he could be the one to deliver it. Same when he decided to coach nz. I guess you could say he failed at newy but he did get them to a prelim and then there were external factors.

Most people would think england are a decent side and could go to #1, if bennett thinks he can get them there then good for internation league i guess.

IMO it would be better to have Bennett there in an advisory type role ala NZ at the 08 World Cup.

Having a coach that doesn't live thousands of miles away and would see more of the up and coming players would be better.

We don't have a soccer team to coach ;-) plus our coach has already managed three nations before England.

I don't even know how this is news. Rep league is all about the money anyway how many players have played for more than one international side? Or are playing for a team that they represent through their grand parents long lost dog?
He wanted the Ozzie job the ARL chose to give it to someone else so he went on with his business to find an alternative.
