Look at the Spanish players, not one of them is singing the national anthem! Disgraceful!

Boring!... It seems this tournament died in the ass the moment the group stage ended (with the exception of Germany/Greece)...

Extremely proud of the team this morning. Didn't get the result but that's football. There is no shame in losing to the best team in the world on penalties. However i will question the penalty takers for the shootout and the decision not to have Ronaldo take an earler penalty.Ronaldo will always have a target on his head when it comes to criticism. But that's what you get when you're one of the best in the world. He had a great tournament in my opinion. Not just the way he played but the leadership he showed. He was committed to the team and the system, rather than trying to run the show himself like in the past.

He should have buried that chance in the 90th minute, they had a 4 on 2 FFS!

The pass to Ronaldo was a bit behind him but he should of done better with it to be honest. A better pass and he at least puts it on target.

Missed opportunities are basically the story of my life supporting this team.

This is the problem with tournament soccer. From the world cup to the state cup in NSW and everything in between, once a team is through to the knockout part of a tournament that are petrified of conceding a goal.

He probably would have missed it anyway with his showboating

Like he did against Germany and Denmark?

LOL @ Ronaldo. Did nothing all game. Couldn't even force one save out of Casillas from his 6 attempts on goal and didn't have the balls to put his hand up to take a penalty. An eternal pretender.

And why have some of you guys fallen into the usual trap of saying that 0-all draws are boring? Last night's game was more entertaining than Spain's win against France and Portugal v Czechs because both sides did at least try to attack.

Firstly did you even watch the game? Secondly, did you watch every other Portuguese game in this tournament?

Finally, have you watched EVERY Portuguese game including major tournaments, qualifiers and friendlies since Euro 2000? I'm guessing no.

It's easy to judge based on watching a few games. Paulo Bento has put in place a system where Ronaldo is expected to be part of the team not THE team. And he has thrived in this system during this tournament.

Haters gonna hate.

Yes

No

You guess correctly

Doesn't change the fact that he carried on like a petulant little bitch during and after those first couple of group games

And his record in high-profile shootouts is not good

It's easy to judge based on watching a few games. Paulo Bento has put in place a system where Ronaldo is expected to be part of the team not THE team. And he has thrived in this system during this tournament.

Haters gonna hate.

It took the aforementioned couple of games, but he did indeed eventually figure out he is part of a team
