lol yeah Spain's 1-0 wins were thrilling. Germany and Argentina were very attacking addmitedly.

Netherlands v Uruguary
Brazil v Netherlands
Germany v England & Argentina
Brazil v Chile
Argentina v Mexico
Netherlands v Slovakia

Plenty of good matches in the knockout stages with plenty of goals and controversy.

LOL @ Ronaldo. Did nothing all game. Couldn't even force one save out of Casillas from his 6 attempts on goal and didn't have the balls to put his hand up to take a penalty. An eternal pretender.

And why have some of you guys fallen into the usual trap of saying that 0-all draws are boring? Last night's game was more entertaining than Spain's win against France and Portugal v Czechs because both sides did at least try to attack.

What game were you watching lol Spain v Portugal was shit.

The reality is that Ronaldo played two good games in this tournament, out of five, yet people were saying after those two games that he was the best player at this tournament. A load of rubbish. There are a few players who have performed well in every game (Iniesta, Pirlo, Ozil and Khedira spring to mind), not just two games.

Ronaldo is a great player, nobody will deny it and if they do they're a f**king idiot, but the reaction and the wankfest over his good performances is way over the top. That reaction applies for his poor performances, too.

That was a footballing lesson, handed out by the masters to Italy's perennial bitches.

WOW.

Brilliant. Balotelli, Cassano, Pirlo and De Rossi were immense.

f**king Euro 2004. Like a Portugese can talk about choking smh

f**k me dead your an angry man. Yes we choked in 2004 and yes Germany choked this morning as they have the last few tournaments. They like to make some noise and put scores on shit teams in the early stages but as soon as they play somebody decent they shit themselves.

Germany - forever Italy's bitch.

Beating shit teams is a portugese specialty - until they meet in a final lol

Portugal - forever Germany's bitch

Thanks for being captain obvious.

Want some more truths?

- We have never won a major title.
- We always struggle to qualify.
- Most of our team is mediocre at best.
- When we do go well in a tournament we tend to either choke or come crashing back to earth that teams such as Spain, Germany are miles ahead of us.

Nothing new to me. But doesn't make anything I've said previously less true.

Nothing you said was true.

Choking is losing a tournament final at home to one of the worst teams of the tournament.

Choking is not losing a semi final or final to an equal or superior team that wins the tournament.

why is it that every team that doesn't win gets accused of choking ?

Because people are stupid.

If Germany lost to a shit team like, say, England, then you could call that a choke as they are a vastly inferior side. Italy are clearly not.

BTW Hornby, I disagree that most of the Portugal team is mediocre. Everyone wanks off over Ronaldo but Moutinho for example had a better tournament. More consistent and good in every game wheras Ronaldo only made a significant impact in two games. The likes of Nani, Veloso etc. are good players, the only mediocre players in Portugal's teams are always the centre forward and usually the goalkeeper, though this current one looks alright.

Also Spain, although they are a better side, did not look miles ahead of Portugal in that game.

Who exactly choked? Löw changed tactics and formation for this one game, played Kroos on the right of a compact midfield, had Boateng a CB being used as a service crosser, playing Podolski over Schürrle and this was after he'd Changed things against Greece and people say they choked lol playing a compact formation 4-5-1 is not the style that suits the players he chose. Löw chose a versatile and attack orientated squad and then chose to play a mirror image of a cautious opponent.

Players getting blamed when the manager stuffed up royally but Löw is untouchable and immune to criticism and morons just throwing the choke word around.
