Semi is eligible for Australia, and was allowed to change his allegiance. Its perfectly acceptable. Maybe if all England ever played between world cups were a couple of pointless matches against PNG then maybe the Biter would switch to Australia too

I know he's eligible but he shouldn't be, its supposed to be international not a club sport. You might find it acceptable but I don't. Its not just Australia Rangi Chase should never have played for England.

The real stupid thing is that he can play for the aussies, but is not allowed to play for NSW. League loves shooting itself in the foot when it comes to rep and international footy.

As much as I'd like to laugh at Parras misfortune, I simply cannot if this is true.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, Semi. Anyone who walks out and changes codes should not be allowed back in the NRL. Having said that, if he goes then there's plenty of good wingers that can take his place. Suli Vunivalu being the big one.

We make it too easy for players to return, so they don't care if they leave in the first place.

It would be hard to be more small minded than this.

How about trying something positive - create an environment where players don't consider looking elsewhere. Much better than taking a punitive approach which just sounds vindictive and jealous.

The NRL can't match the money on offer at some privately owned Union clubs in Europe. No salary cap over there.
