l detest Flanagan.
As absolute grub of a person.
Fitted the Sharks perfectly.
Hope he doesn't come our way.
Think Barrett will be next in line.
I expect him to sign as Assistant after June 30.
Then natural progression will evolve.
Its the Illawarra way.
Its the family way, not the business way.

Exactly.

I have no doubts that Barrett will be next in the queue followed by Ryles.
By the time they have finished their tenure we'd be looking at Aitken as head coach

I hear you mate but I detested Bennett too, right up to the day he signed on....

Was seen today at Wollongong Mercedes dealership with a dragons sponsor just wondering your guys thoughts on him as coach or footiball manager ?
The old spot and rumour trick. Maybe he just wanted to buy a Mercedes and Wollongong was the closest that offered him the best deal from where he lived.
Back to your question. Yeh I'll have in in lieu of Mary....but when he finishes coaching the Sharks and helping Morris once and for all.

I think he is a total grub and I’d be ashamed to have him at our club if he ever came. Ashamed to have him but embarrassed to have Mary. At work today a mate walked past my desk and he stopped, turned around and said, “ how the f**k does Mary keep his job at the Dragons? “ He shook his head, smiled and walked off.

I agree. He obviously has some coaching skills but is a bully who is incapable of accepting responsibility for his own behaviour.

Off the top of my head:
- He systematically cheated during the peptides fiasco, making a farce of the competition and endangering his players.
- He created a siege mentality and encouraged the players not to cooperate with attempts to investigate what went on.
- He ignored the slap over the wrist punishment he was given and systematically cheated for another year while out of the game.

And it always seems to be someone else's fault. He wouldn't be at the top of my list.
But he would be higher up the list than Mary..or anyone in our club ATM..surely?

Very close to the bottom of mine...

Flanagan is a good mate of mark coyne and a old dragons player i will put my money on him being a coach that could bring back the old passion of the red v days. And what we need as a coach that can build a solid team to a grandfinal.

And one of dragons biggest sponsors was just his friend helping him browse?

I’d have Flanno.

I watch the game wanting to compete well and make proud of their performance. I want to feel the excitement that comes from knowing you have a chance of taking out the premiership.

Flanno must surely know he has stay on the right side of the line after his past mistakes. If he stays legal in what he does it is better than the insipid and incompetent waste of time we currently have who makes me feel embarrassment.

Right so no one else can walk in the joint unless their related to the Dragons staff..Geez.
But run with it if you must.
He is about to sign with the Dragons before June 30 and they told him to pick up his free car at the Wollongong Mercedez dealership.
But before he does he needs to get John Morris off speed dial when required.

I suspect that the boards grand plan is to get Barrett in to white ant Mary and have him embarrassed on being demoted to assistant coach. Mary to resign so saves the club money.I think even with that scenario Mary would take on this professional suicide and wait out the time to collect his money and then go back to coaching bush football.
The board desperately needs some plans to get rid of the coach but save face on their decision to resign him. It may take a while.

Denis, isn't it sad & ridiculous to think that this is how our clubs Board & Management make decisions on saving face.
Other clubs seem to have no problem sacking coaches that won GF's or took them permanently into the semi's. We stumble & splutter around not wanting to rock the old boys mates club.
