I didn't know where to post this and I didn't want to make a new 'fred' about it.

Just for your information and I know youse will be excited about this too.

Nadine Hattingh - one of the world famous Sharkettes Ladies Team is a Parky Girl. She plays for the Mighty Emus. They are straight into the GF which is on next weekend I believe.

She is here

Missing Uele

CRONULLA Sharks have found a replacement for veteran forward Chris Heighington who is retiring at the end of the season. The Cowboys’ 22-year-old Kiwi forward Braden Uele has agreed to join the premiers from 2018. He weighs 112kg and previously played in the Cowboys’ Holden Cup team and for the Mackay Cutters.

With the league’s fiercest – but also the league’s oldest – forward pack, the Sharks would do well to start succession planning. To that end, the Sharks have reportedly made a good start.

According to 7Sport, the Sharks have agreed to terms with giant Cowboys forward Braden Uele on a two-year deal, that will see him head to the Shire until the end of 2019.

With regular faces Paul Gallen and Luke Lewis both re-signed until the end of next year and Chris Heighington still off-contract, the need to begin planning for their future is obvious, and adding the Junior Kiwi enforcer will go a long way towards ensuring that there’s no drop off as the Sharks’ stars head into the sunset.

The report suggests that the Cowboys are disappointed to lose Uele, and are unimpressed with the Sharks big-money offer to lure him away; but after opting to poach Storm forward Jordan McLean for next year, the Cowboys have gained a talented young forward themselves, and have little grounds to feel hard done by.

Uele made his first grade debut in last weekend’s loss to the Roosters.

I can't find it but I read somewhere we doubled the offer the cowboys gave him.

What is the long term plan for the Brailey bros?

They both have 10-15 year careers ahead of them. Do we see the Brailey/Brailey hooker rotation in the future or do we have plans of one of them in the Halves with Flanno Jnr.

From what I have seen they are both out and out 9's. We have 2 years to work out which one we want/how to use them together.

Seggy is only contracted to the end of 2018 so the fact we have both Braileys on the books for 2019 is interesting.

Is Ennis the Menace looking after our No9's throughout the club.

I hope so
Hope so too. He has a media job as well but hopefully he is doing both.
Would have been awesome to have him playing this season with Brailey on the bench but oh well. Legend nonetheless.

I believe Mennis was doing some sessions with Jayden earlier on in the season, wasn't he? Not sure if those have continued throughout the season, or what the injury did for them.

NSW U20's utility Billy Magoulias has re-signed with the current NRL Premiers until the end of 2019. The powerfully built lock has been a standout in the NYC competition where he sits in the top 10 for tackles, runs and offloads. Magoulias who captains the Sharks 20's has led the team with distinction as they rack up a 14 game winning streak on their way to topping the table this season.

When discussing his signing Magoulias said "It's good to have it sorted. The club have had some success and the 20's are on top of the comp so there is a good mix of players here and I am looking forward to getting into the fulltime environment to learn the day to day requirments of a fulltime player. I will push hard for some NSW Cup next year and hopefully be palying well enough to get an opportunity at the NRL level."
Speaking quickly with the Sharks recruitment team they were very pleased to get Magouliasa finalised, "Billy has definatley been a shining light this year and has shown everyone at the club he has plenty of potential and knows how to realise it. We are excited to see him come in in November and mix with the senior guys at the club on a day to day basis.
Everyone at MapSports wishes Blly the best for the next 2 seasons

The fact it is 2 seasons suggests this is not just a NSW cup deal. I'm interested to see how Billy goes. He dominates his age group but seems small for mine for NRL. Then again I just looked his height up and he is listed as the same height as Gallen and his workrate is similar. Best of luck Billy!

He reminds me of a horse that continuously excels through the grades.

I have no doubt he will be a regular in our 17 by the end of next year.

I think we'll end up seeing more than just one next year in first grade. My only issue is flanno jr our back up for jimmy, since brown, morts are gone

Same mob looking after Metcalf.

To me, Billy is one of those players that always looks tired but still seems able to turn up.

So looking at the 20's we have
Braily
Magoulias
Flanno Jr (assumed)

The new pay agreement has $200k for developing players. Doesn't sound like much but its more than has been available in the past, I hope we use it up and retain as many of these kids as we can.
