I gotta say I feel there's some truth in this.
Some? I think it's pretty spot on. Hence why they are getting more teams int hat competition to get their c;lubs fans engaged.
Here's the catch, I feel the same way about our mens team.
If the Sharks got kicked out, or the other evil, I'd be hard pressed to watch many games a season. I don't love rugby league anymore the way it has become, not like when I was younger.
I still appreciate the game, and the players, coaches etc, but do I watch any other games except Cronulla? Sometimes if I think it'll be a good spectacle, and who knows about that these days.
I've already canned my Kayo for the year (expires in 3 weeks), by that time the Sharks have all Ch 9 games except the last round. I work every weekend and a lot of nights so it's not often I get to see a game live much anymore.
Every game is up a day or two later on NRL.com, youtube, 9 etc.
So be it.
