Tom Burgess was telling a different story at the Kingdome tonight.

Sat in the box next to all 4 of them.

Not much of one Aus.

Tom is a hitter as well, crash tackled the Lion for spraying him with silly string.

I've heard different things from people at the sharks at recently as yesterday snoop.

If he does sign with souths, it probably confirms more than anything though what a roosters staff member told me: Todd Carney is a liar. Not in a vindictive way, he just tells people what they want to hear.

Interesting newman.

The souths director I spoke to may have been throwing a decoy and they may well be announcing another player signing tomorrow but the function I was at last night had many souths contacts there outlining the ins and outs of Carneys contract.

This may well be a publicity stunt by souths or just be a case of Cronulla being left out of the loop and holding onto false hope. Either way tomorrow will be a very interesting day for souths.

Souths haven't signed Carney yet. Neither have we. Officially no announcement has been made by either club or Riolo. So, until we hear otherwise (officially) both clubs (and others) are still in negotiation with his mgmt. So, I stand by my earlier comments that we are in a better place with regards to the salary cap than any other club, and anecdotally Todd has said that he is coming to the sharks. Read into that what you want. We won't know publicly until there is an official announcement made by his management.

I do think it's silly to write the club and the management off until we know for sure.
