To put that into perspective he currently has the 10th highest first class batting average in history. All countries, all time.

(His test average of 52.44 would sit just below Sewag as the 29th highest of all time if he maintained that to the cricinfo qualification of 20 innings)

Oh and the other interesting point is that Jaques is sitting at 60 on the all time FC averages list and Katich at 43. (min 50 innings)

To cheer the Victorians up Dussey is at 33 and Rogers 68.
