Ex NSW boy Hastings has done the early damage. Jaques and Khawaja out. Hughes still there.

Both players are rewinding the clock to the SA series. Hughes scoring runs, McGain being smashed all over the park.

Warner got slowed after lunch and ended up getting out, but Hughes has got to his ton.

It was only a matter of time till he converted those 50s. Too good for this level.

Onya Hughes, this is more like it. Think Warner just needs to figure out how to start up again, lost his way after lunch.

Hughes gone for 122. We need Smith and Henriques to put on a partnership or we're in trouble.

Bloody hell Henriques loves the declarations. Poor old O'Keefe must be spewing. This one better not blow up in your face Moises.

Hughes is overrated. Well done to him though for scoring a century against the weakest bowling attack Victoria has just about ever fielded.

The Vics to make 400 tomorrow or declare well behind to set up a final day chase for 6 points.

While I wouldn't call Hughes overrated I do agree that this particular innings is against a Victorian side missing their top 3-4 quicks on what is usually a batters paradise. Its the same as you couldn't really get overly excited if a Vic player like Rogers scores a ton against a blues attack that's weaker than usual.

Let's be realistic, If Hughes gets a crack in the boxing day test it'll obviously be through an injury to someone as opposed to a century against a 3rd rate attack. Though to be you can only face who's in front of you I spose.
