I don’t think that this is an accurate representation of the majority of St George fans.

But honestly, if you feel this way, kindly go f**k yourself.
Believe me, many more people will feel that way when the truth of the old boys deals is revealed. It will be revealed but when who knows.

Look at your Toddler rules, you satisfy 1 to 10 with your ridiculously Illawarra biased nonsense.
Not at all.. I’d gladly let you take St George and head off into the NSW cup if the JV dissolves..

Stating the St George history forms part of the JV DNA is fact, thats not leveraging it, its a statement of reality. Again the statement about the large number of old St George fans living in the Illawarra is fact. You pretend they dont exist and try to make out the only fans that matter are the old Illawarra fans living in the Illawarra.
The point is that you are carrying on an us vs them mentality when it’s a we..

And I did not blame Illawarra, I clearly blamed the Gordon family and WIN.
So, you didn’t blame Illawarra, you just blamed the owner the Illawarra JV licence.. Got it.

Funny how they’ve only owned it for a year yet the rot started long before they got the keys..

Why so protective of them?
You leave dad alone!

Look, Illawarra split away from St George but were never a success, could not win a competition even with such a large junior district.
Not sure what your point is here Poss.. St George were out on their own during this period they were never a success either, even with the heritage and the “cash”..

Then they decided to come back to St George but wanted their name added to the team title and in their first season back caused us to lose the 1999 GF.
Toddler Rule 10 there Possm..

St George lost the 85, 92, 93 & 96 GF’s.. How is it suddenly Illawarra’s fault? Were Mundine & Ainscough Steelers?

Now St George fans have had enough of the Illawarra marfia, they just want St George to be St George and couldn't give a dam about the Illawarra element.
You can be St George.. I’ll happily come have a beer with you watching them play NSW cup..

It's the exact same story, people clinging onto old claims of success and failure as it suits them. From my point of view, STGI is more like a reunification of what St George originally had before the splits started in 1967 and 1982. Illawarra never had the rivalry with St George that Cronulla has.
Illawarra never had rivalry with anyone.

Not at all.. I’d gladly let you take St George and head off into the NSW cup if the JV dissolves..

And this is why some St George fans are fed up with Illawarra. It's because of this mentality of flicking the bird to the team that actually saved you from extinction.
The point is that you are carrying on an us vs them mentality when it’s a we..

Wrong again Muzby, I was actually saying we are all in this JV together and what each team brings in history is important including St George.

So, you didn’t blame Illawarra, you just blamed the owner the Illawarra JV licence.. Got it.

Finally got part of it right, Gordon was not the owner of the Illawarra part of the JV until recently. He carried on as if he was the owner of the whole JV for years by manipulating things to suit his agenda.

Funny how they’ve only owned it for a year yet the rot started long before they got the keys..

Not funny, disgusting because the influence has been there since day one of the JV.

You leave dad alone!

No really Muz, what is your relationship with Illawarra, the Gordon's and WIN? Please be open and tell us the whole truth.

Illawarra never had rivalry with anyone.
And that’s a good thing..

All that rivalry does is create an extra motivation to beat a team..

However that level of motivation therefore becomes the team’s potential motivation from then on..

Which means that any non-rival team you are playing against you are entering the game less motivated to win than in other games..

You should always approach every game fully motivated to win.

No exceptions.

The bottom line is that if we split with Illawarra STG are the ones who will struggle. I don’t mean on the field, I mean off it. The NRL will not keep the 16 teams they have got now forever, people complain about the spread of talent etc already. A second Brisbane team will come soon enough and Perth as well as a second NZ side is still something the NRL dream of. If these areas are given a license the reality is that one or two Sydney clubs will be sacrificed to act as the piggy back for these new areas into the comp. Our link to Illawarra protects us. Cronulla are stronger than us and they have the PM and developers onside. They are going nowhere. Easts - no, Manly - no, Parramatta or Penrith - no, the hypocritical Souths - no. Newcastle, Canberra, Melbourne, North Queensland, the Broncos and the Warriors are safe. It is likely North Queensland and the Broncos will always argue that the NRL should support the Titans. (To protect themselves). So who do we have left for amalgamation or relocation? The Dogs, the West Tigers and, if we separate from Illawarra, St George. I am not happy with everything about the joint venture as I am a Saints man, but let’s live in the present. I don’t want my disappointment with aspects of our club see us relocated or see us become a minor player in a Cronulla dominated joint venture.

I had a dream the Dragons were once again the St George Dragons with 15 premierships, then woke up to this crap!

I gave my almost 1 year old son his first Dragons jersey today, I’m glad it was my old jersey from 29 years ago. I’m not saying Illawarra hasn’t contributed to the Dragons success but it’s frustrating now.

I would rather see our side as a stand alone team playing out of Kogarah, the JV has destroyed our culture and we are a laughing stock of the league.
I don’t see how the JV is going to bring our side back to where it belongs unless their is a massive clean out of the coaching and recruitment staff and get rid of the overpaid players,

I used to go for the Saints but I'm happy with the merger and don't think either team would exist if not for it. Traditionally Dragons got a lot of players from the Illawarra before the steelers existed, along with the Cronulla area. There are too many Sydney teams as is. Dragons should be basically the whole southern part of Sydney, ie Cronulla, St George and the south coast down to at least Batemans Bay which would be Raiders territory, along with country inland NSW around Canberra.

One of your better trolling efforts Muzby.

I am sure you will draw a few bites.

For my part I am quite a compassionate person.

Let me know which mental asylum your in.

I will happily pay you a visit and insist that you take all your medication.

You seem to have missed a few doses recently.
