I have the feeling that he’ll leave the club in order to win a premiership elsewhere. I will not be surprised to see him sign with the Roosters or Bunnies to achieve success & be coached properly.
And Host..and he cleraly has little impact in the middle.I have been talking Ford up and a decent replacement if Frizell leaves, but I think I may have been overestimated Ford. He still looks a bit too light for first grade. He is a good footballer. Time will tell if he makes it.
I noticed they used him for the latest promo work on saints web site lets hope that is a good sign.Does anyone have any updates on Friz staying or going.
Season kicks off in 12 days and I would have thought all involved would like it sorted before the comp starts.
I'm keen on him staying as it sends a good message to other players and the Club moving forward.
3 year deal would be nice but wouldn't go four.
Thanks Frank, you're right!I would take Andrew Fifita, but I think you are talking about David Fifita from Brissy. He would be a massive signing.
Just give him the 4 yr deal. So he plays prop in his 4th year, he will still carve them up especially if Flanagan is head coach. The longer this takes the more chance he will leave, that would be a big loss for us,
No offence but us signing Fafita

Well, regardless of whether Frizzell stays or goes- and I'm of the opinion that his best days are behind him- this whole drawn out saga is yet another indicator of a club in crisis- the coach is on the nose with everyone except the toadies who performed the incredibly flawed review, our CEO is half way out the door and the Board is ineffectual. The Roosters with Politis at the helm would never allow a player like Frizzell to be lost- if they really wanted to keep him.
If Frizzell is genuinely making his decision on which club is best placed to win a premiership before he retires, then Newcastle has to be his choice. SGI simply doesn't have a current world class player (Lomax could be in a few years) while Newcastle has Ponga to build their attack around, some promising backs and a decent pack of forwards.
Knights are absolutely no where near being in contention to threaten for the premiership. Ponga hasn’t even committed to the club long term.
the longer the process takes the more likely it is that Frizzell will stay...
Fully expect to see him have a decision by round 5
Our only problem with the team is the current head coach and his favourite centre pairing.Well, regardless of whether Frizzell stays or goes- and I'm of the opinion that his best days are behind him- this whole drawn out saga is yet another indicator of a club in crisis- the coach is on the nose with everyone except the toadies who performed the incredibly flawed review, our CEO is half way out the door and the Board is ineffectual. Throw in a dozen rolls of toilet paper. That should get us over the line.
Any news on Frizz yet? The season is looming and he wanted to have it sorted by the start of the season. Hopefully this is the case
