Annesley seems to think the Marsters try last Friday was legit; therefore he is an incompetent clown whose opinion can not be taken seriously.
Well Tommy, he did apologise directly about a mistake in the WT/SR game . . . actually, 2 mistakes . . .

We should have one of those signs mde up for the NRL.

"Number of weeks since the refs did not make a mistake"

(Wouldn't surprise me if there actually is one in Annesley's office)

Great idea Gong !!
I'm in that industry . . . and we make them up for factories for their LTI record, etc.
We usually put 3 rows of digits, to enable up to 999 days displayed.
If the refs get me in to make theirs, I'll include a 4th row . . . . no charge.
It'll come in handy !!

Is the 4th row for hours?

the problem with a few of the VR clangers is the speed at which the decisions were made. The media were up in arms when every angle was being looked at and decisions were taking minutes to achieve, and I get that this time period is too long. There is a concerted effort by the bunker to make the decision as fast as possible to keep the game flowing and the game has been bragging about how quickly these decisions are now being made.

but

that penrith warriors game a few weeks ago, that try to the winger for NZ (name escapes me, where he dived from 5m out) they looked at 2 angles and for mine, I had a gut feeling they had better angles to look at, but they just awarded it and it concerned me watching it on tv. I couldn’t believe there wasn’t more scrutiny placed on it because his hand was close to the line in the shots we saw on tv and you could tell it needed better angles to adjudicate on.

One replayed from the side on camera while the conversion was being setting up proved they f**ked up royally, all it would have taken was a little bit of patience and brains to wait for better angles to make their way through to be able to make their decision on.

Making a decision in fast time isn’t always the better option.

Don't they have multiple angle in front of them simultaneously when making decisions?

No mention at all about Storm being gifted the game against Saints.

They’re game winning penalty was for “escorting” an offside player?!

Annesley is also a f**king clown.

Here is another thing which I have noticed this year. You’ll hardly ever see a replay of where the refs have made a mistake.

You’re not alone on that one.

If they’re not showing the replay, they’re not checking them either. Can’t win.

You get the feeling that a finals game could be decided off the back of the wrong call this season. It’s that bad.

I've noticed that a few times now, pretty sure there was one in Origin 2 where a NSW looked to have knocked it on.

Yes, tv only gets the main screen feed but they have numerous other screens playing numerous cameras simultaneously. They spent millions setting it up so they can view all angles, for some reason in this instance they missed the one that showed his hand touching the ground

For me that’s a good thing, refs will make mistakes, we dont need the Ch9 gimps slagging them off for the next 10mins as they got the chance to see it on super slo mo.

Lol Fusitua is the lads name. He is an international winger and scored the most tries last year in the NRL, he really isn’t an unknown random

The other factor for me is that we see different replays to the bunker. We should be looking at the same thing as we listen to the deliberations.

Yeah, just sweep it under the rug hey?

Treat the fans like idiots and drive them crazy by not showing replays of where they may have made a mistake and just never show footage of it again?

Sounds like a great plan.

I can handle and get over mistakes. It’s part of the game. No worries.

When the NRL starts packaging and presenting a contrived version of the game to protect their own hides, or even worse, to combat agenda driven turds like Gould, instead of shining a light and accepting mistakes and hopefully learning from them? That’s when I’ll be turning it off.

You really should just go and watch AFL if you’re so willing to be spoon-fed shit from Big Brother and call it strawberries.

The Dragons Storm is a prime example.

They purposefully did not show the wide angle that showed the kick chasers offside. It never got mentioned again and because of that, this idiot Annesley never even mentioned it in his list of howlers.

Now, he either wants to fix the problem he is complaining about, or sweep it under the rug, which inexplicably you’re happy with. But he can’t do both.

The problem is they are looking at multiple replays simultaneously and it just doesn't work when you split the screen to see what they see. They tried it when the bunker was 1st introduced and people complained because it was too small.

Hang on, he’s bragging about spotting the knee? If t was spotted it should have been at least a sin bin on the night and 3-4 weeks on the sideline. Grade one for a deliberate knee to the head of a player unable to defend himself? He has no idea, no wonder the refs are making mistakes.

The referees decided not to worry too much as it was Matt Lodge and too many people gained too much pleasure from seeing him kneed in the head

You've got to think of the kiddies

Earlier in the season the refs created a howler that stopped the Roosters from beating the Broncos

Then they ballsed up Saturday's game and the Tigers lost to the Roosters

As the Roosters would have won one and lost one and that's what happened there is no need to make any changes to their points. But surely they need to take two points off the Broncos and give them to the Tigers :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
