'Simply not good enough': Annesley tells refs to lift their game

Of course anything could have happened. Everyone acknowledged that. The fact is though that the refs made so many “critical errors” and the margin was so small and the penalty count was so lopsided for no real good reason that it would be fair to expect that the Warriors would have won with a fairer shake of the stick. If you don’t understand that, you don’t understand much.

Every side has a claim to being hard done by once in a while. But every once in a while, a performance is so bad that is clearly affects the outcome. Annesley went as close as he could to admitting that. Hence, the four officials have been relegated this week

Parra have got the absolute rails run from the refs recently

The last bad call Parra got that cost them a try was round 13. Pretty lucky with the standard of refs going around. I'm sure we will get paid back soon.

That Warriors/Parra game reminded me of the Manly/Souths one a few weeks back.

Refs only reffed one side on both occasions.

Are you whinging about the forward pass from Roger?
Champion, get some glasses. It was forward. The best argument you can throw up is “it was flat” (it wasn’t). Point is it wasn’t controversial. If you throw a flat pass you leave it up to the gods.
He was around the half way point so he had about 50metres in a backwards direction he could have thrown it but he decided to throw it slightly forward (or maybe flat). Stop whinging.
Just because the fox sports idiots decide it will make good media to claim something is controversial does not make it so.

I was satisfied with Annesley’s response tbh. He fronted up

Which is better than the coaches do. Every now and then a coach (like Kearney) should front up and admit “yep, I am sorry. I am not good enough and I’ve been leeching of this game for 15 years”.

Where in his post did Meth mention the forward pass? He even said in a previous post it's 50/50 And not fussed on it being called.

He's clearly talking about what Annesley reviewed after the game. The officials weren't dropped for a single forward/not forward pass call. They were dropped for a series of calls including one against the Eels that cost a try.

You tell him to get glasses and not whinge when your entire whinge post is based off your lack of basic comprehension.

Well I just read a great article on The Roar about Rugby Leagues ref blaming culture that struck a chord. Meth is a ref blammer.

A ref blamer ? Lol

Blokes ( and now ladies) do a shit job, they should be called out.

Refs have a responsibility to get things correct on a consistent basis.

It's hard enough to beat the opposing 17 players, without having to beat 2 incompetent fools as well.

It’s because everyone wants our great stadium to be in the finals. Rather than the rat infested stadiums the other Sydney clubs play in.
The stadium has been up for a few months now, no doubt it's already full of rats, or even worse, people from the Parramatta area.

I said I didn’t have a problem with the pass being called forward several posts ago. Maybe you need glasses?

You had a whinge about the refereeing. Trying to make out it was their fault that the warriors lost. It wasn’t. Parra just was too good. Stop sooking. Everyone who blames the refs is a sook.
