Tariq Sims hasn't even been given a release and may not the Cowboys might change their mind.

The Cowboys said they would consider giving him one on the basis they get a player of equal value to replace him ie McQueen thats why his name has popped up.

With Teo moving on possibly McQueen might end up staying even though the rumour is he wants to head back to Qld.

Until Tariq is officially released people like the lurker can speculate as much as they like.

McQueen will hinge purely on a contract upgrade -$$$
This I know. There are others interested in McQueen also.

Tariq Sims signed for the Knights as of today

Looks like we don't have any space in our cap for forward signings judging by this statement. Pretty much says Tariq wanted to return to the dragons but Couldn't due to cap restrictions and chose the Knights, Which says to me they also have Bennett locked in as he wouldn't sign with a club without knowing who the coach is...

Hope we have some cap space left to upgrade Merrin's contract or otherwise he will be off to Broncos.

I'm getting worried now. We can't have another cupboard is bare year with our forwards.
Havent heard even 1 signing (or resigning) unless you count Rory.. very worrying but im hoping its just going to take a few days to announce... failing that.. f**k.

Move on the following players and there is plenty of cap spare
Ah mau
Beale
Creagh
Hunt
Harrison
Hunt
Green
Groat
Stanley
Witt

Plus if Thompson wants to return home that's plenty of spare cash right there ...

Yep on the money as usual Red lol Creagh bends the line back every week and Beales our top try scorer. The rest u probably have a point though I still have some hope for Au Mau. Witt will retire anyway I'm sure. I think we were not prepared to pay Sims the money he wanted even though he has great potential it's hard to gamble on someone who has had 2 major injuries back to back. Hang on to Thompson if we can!

I'm simply a fan of playing players in their correct positions,
Creagh is too slow for a running forward and too small for prop, his best days are behind him and as Bennett always said it's better to let a player go a season too early rather than a season too late, we made this mistake with cooper and hornby, now we are about to make it again with Creagh . Don't let sentiments get in the way of the right decisions for the team...
As for Beale top try scorer or not, falling over the line as he has done in most cases doesn't mean he is a centre ... Which clearly he's not, so I would move him on and buy a specialist centre...

Runnish!!!
Creagh has been our second best forward all year after Merrin, particularly since moving to prop. Any way you want to look at it...his numbers are right up, his effectiveness in attack and defense is through the roof, he is leading the team, you can see the difference when he is on compared to when he is off.
And I'll not hear you speak ill off Matt Cooper, even in his last year he could match it with the best, baring injury.

It's still only speculation, but seems as though it's just a matter of time. The Cowboys announced on Tuesday he was leaving them at the end of the season, so now it's up to his new club to make the official announcement. The delay in this from the Knights might be due to the fact they have the bye this round.

Could be some 11th hour bids going on to. Nothing is official other than his release.

Could also be the chaos the Knights are in

They have announced 2 signings in the last week in mataora and tuimavave. I am sure if they had him sealed up it would have been announced shortly after the cowboys signed off on his release.

You are probably right. I'm sure we'll be shedding a few players so hopefully we sign Tariq and a good prop
