We need the stewart brothers or the Naiqama brothers or the barba brothers or the blues brothers - the blues are going to lose tonight they need to get rid of gallen and luke lewis, the sharkies are wooden spooners and fifita don't put them in

Yeah, right :sarcasm::sarcasm:

I've watched all the Cowboys games this season, and I have to say that Ashton is probably playing the best football he has played in many a season (particularly in defence). I would like to see Tariq and Ashton at the club, because they are both aggressive and will at the very least have a good old fashioned dig, which is more than I can say for some of our other forwards at the moment.

Statistics show that Ashton has given away 3 penalties all season, missed 7 tackles, and ran for over 100m on five occasions this season from the bench; not bad. He also ran for 124 in a badly beaten side against the Raiders last week, albeit from the starting side. Statistics are not everything, and I certainly have some concerns regarding his overall game, but he is playing some decent football this season is all!

Ashton is... ok-ish. His apparent hardman persona doesn't ring true for me, he seems to use it as compensation for his inadequacies in other areas. Most of the time it manifests itself in dumb play. He's a bench player at best imo, but I'd take him, if it meant getting Tariq

I'm ok with this Ashton does have some mistakes in him but at least it is from having a go plus he is also not afraid to come out of the line to put a hit on something that we do not have.

I haven't watched much of the Cowboys this season but did see last weekends game against the Raiders. Both Sims brothers were fairly underwhelming

Geez can you imagine him and Hunt in the same team....wouldn't be many sets completed.......

I rate the Sims brothers as ordinary players; nothing special. Surely we need to go after more talanted forwards.

Also, who are the Sims trio going to replace in our current top 9 run on forwards?

Creagh
Stockwell
De Belin
Frizell
Thompson
Cooper
Merrin
Ah Mau
Hunt

Hunt, ah mau, cooper, creagh (eventually) are in trouble. Plus Matthews groat and a couple more will go.

Hunt and De Belin are the two that I've been disappointed with. De Belin IMO hasn't lived up to the hype. We need someone who will get up and belt the shite out of the opposition. Someone who makes the ball runner take a look before he gets the ball. There is only one in those nine named that appears to have the ability and that's Thompson but Price reverted to the old chestnut of playing a back rower in the centres because it worked for Bennett with Beau Scott. I like Thompson as a player but he is no Beau Scott yet.

Well considering Cooper is only on a @2year loan from Warrington, He will return to England in 2016 so you got that right but He has been by far the best forward on the park.

Ah mau just needs to be played in the backrow instead of prop, he should not be as big as he is. When he was at the Junior Warriors he was a smaller quicker backrower that hit holes with speed and aggression, I think either the Cowboys or Dragons have tried to make him a prop. FAIL

Dan Hunt needs to be punted as quick as possible, nothing else needed to say.

Mathews can follow Hunt,

Groat can sit in the back of D Hunts car while W Mathews tells him how to get to Newcastle

DeBallin will be allgood, its just he doesn't really put fear in the opposition because looks like a pretty boy. just needs to tear some heads off so he gets a reputation or something.

Agree with most of your post... Very colourful.

Unfortunately, along with the shoulder charge, the chicken wing, the crusher tackle, the Hoppoate colonoscopy, the head - tear off is banned.
