Bender, probably 2 reasons:

2) Unlike League and AFL, soccer can be played by old blokes without fear of injury. Imagine an over 40's Rugby League comp?

I can't remember the exact qoute, but I believe someone once told me that the majority of people who are taken to the emergency ward on weekends in the Sutherland Shire are over 35 soccer players. We have ( I think), 5 divisions of over 35 soccer.

So no, soccer can't be played by old blokes without fear of injury.

And how many over 35's League comps are there?

I'll repeat: absolutely no reason why the codes can't co-exist. Only someone who's worried would make any fuss about it.

And I don't agree with you, so WTF are you on about?

You obviously do, because I've been saying similar things for a week.

I believe you also typed this:...
You mean someone who supports both codes? Who doesn't feel a constant need to put sh1t on any other code?
...which has also been my argument over the last week.

Dumb prick. You are supposed to argue with people whom you disagree with.

The mainstream media has been taking the p1ss out of soccer for as long as I can remember. Some of it justified certainly, but enough is enough.
The mainstream media has not been taking the piss out of soccer, soccer has been taking the piss out of it self. Until it sorted its own administration recently, the Federal Government had to have a senate inquiry into how the sport was run. This from a sport that was that poorly run, it had no TV coverage of its NSL. That Simon Hill article “The Smell of Fear”, was a load of sh*t and was 80% an attack on Rugby League. I wonder why Simone went soft on the AFL? Does soccer see Rugby League as a softer target than engaging the AFL and its southern media? Why if you wanted Rugby League fans to come along and sample the A League would Soccer sh*t bag Rugby League?

Even with the current WC qualification, there are STILL a few neandrethals who can't resist puttting sh1t on the game.

Did you ever think these few neandrethal Rugby League fans were just sticking up for the game they love on a Rugby League Wedsite? Does that make them neandrethals because soccer does nothing for them? Maybe you agree with a low life like the Business when he refers to Rugby League fans as Bogans? Might be part of being a winner.

There is no reason why the codes can't co exist. If soccer isn't a threat, then why has this thread gone on for 8 pages?
The opinions on this website have nothing to do with whether football codes co exist. If anyone wants to follow one or two or three football codes, that is their business. Just as there is nothing wrong if someone follows one football code. I’ve read nothing from Rugby League supporters on this website to suggest Soccer is a threat to Rugby League in Australia. I’ve read most Rugby Leagues fans feel soccer is not their cup of tea,

I love both Rugby League and soccer and have wide knowledge and strong following of both games. I am also a regular watcher of cricket and tennis.

I don't get why sports fans have to pay out on other sports. Why don't we pay out on non sports like live theatre or the arts. It is these pursuits that create the person that doesn't know anything about sport and person you can't have a conversation with about sport. lol!!
