Cmon mate you need to nerd up. Apparently the kessler run is normally an 18 parsec smugglers route through asteroids and around black holes. Making it in a shorter distance meant he went more direct and closer to black holes.

Btw i reckon this will tank. It will be hard for the actor doing young han to escape the shadow of the original. Some stories are best left untold.
