I know it's early days, but I think LM will regret, bigtime, not taking our $1m offer, I can't see him getting anywhere near that sort of money as a fullback, without some huge improvements to his game, which I don't think he's got in him.
Thank f**k he didn't join us

I wanted him here because I think he is a player who can win games by himself and is potentially a great player. I said at the time he was a moron and I don't think he really understood the position that he was in. The reality is we got lucky and he f**ked up big time. He may never get that chance again. If he gets that chance again I think he is going to have to earn it via performance and I don't know if he has that in him now.

Didn’t watch the game but assume he was average at fullback like usual. He just doesn’t have it in him, always let’s personal battles get into his head and grubs it up.

He’s an out and out centre, and the move to fullback will ruin his legacy.

The rabbits were smart enough not to trust him and only signed him for a year on probation on beer money for his known capacity.

You are only going to do this if you think the player is suspect and against a lot of clubs throwing everything at him, they got this call right.

The big winners of the LM drama were the Cowboys who used his potential signing as leverage to snare the miraculous Valentine Holmes, even if they have to use the loafer Esan as a first grader.

After his frolics in the grid iron you could forgive Val for being dusty for a good six months, but he slides back into the game, in perfect fit with not much ado or fanfare. Finds his way and totally dominates. And I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love watching him play footy and he takes his success in his stride. Walks the walk.

Latrells current form doesn’t justify a selection in any rep footy at the moment. His brand is trashed.

I agree that he appears to have these personal demons that distract him. A few seasons being laughed at may snap him out of it. When you talk yourself up for six months and play like a reserve grader, that’s what you get. This is a brutal sport.

We could throw 500 at him next year I guess, bring him off the bench as a winger. He owes us. His only saving will be to engage as a regular factory stock first grader and hope he plays well enough for a second chance at the elite level. Until then, he’s good comedy and no one cares about his “ feelings” about himself.

His legacy at the moment is a handful of dominant games at centre and for being a precious fool.

To be fair, Latrell did play better last night than he did in the first two rounds. He actually played an 80 minute game for the first time this season. He made an elementary mistake by knocking on inside Souths' half fairly early on in the game. He made a few good plays here and there, but there were also some lapses in defense. Once again, he was caught out of position multiple times, especially when Morris put that kick through for Flanno to score under the posts! He is also not fully fit by any means, and apparently he came back the same weight as when he finished up in round 2. That surprised me.

I am glad that he is not with us. J and B Moz were fantastic for us last night, particularly the latter with his hat trick of tackles - it was Origin-like. Our team is happy and harmonious, and it showed last night. We are back, and it looks like the break has done us good.
Easts to win!

Looking forward to watching your boys against the Sharks today.

Toughen up TFR!

He’s spent 8 months slandering and vilifying your club at every single opportunity.

He dares not to sign with us ...and he’s on our hit-list for the term of footballing life.

Ask the boy wonder whether or not he can walk past a tiger fan without being sneered at. His ego is bigger than Latrells but he has one more brain cell. Grub he is. Latrells not a grub, he’s just especially stupid.

Tigers v Roosters grand final and we slaughter you 36 -6!

I wish him well. I think Thurston nailed it when he said Latrell is not ready to take on the position of being a leader for the indigenous Australian..He’s just a kid who has lessons to learn like all of us..I think he looked ok last night but just didn’t have the team or team fluency to put him in a position where he could show what he can do.....yet.

I disagree, Latrells a gibbering idiot.

His indigenous heritage is not a factor at all.

Gibbering idiots can be found all over the world, the disease knows no race or culture.

I doubt he gave any thought about joining other teams anyway, was always gonna end up at $ouff$. Addo-Carr will probably be there next year too

I think they need big edge players and to offload a few loafers.

I am wondering who Bennet will take with him to to sgi. Probably should be released early.

Do what Elliot did to the Raiders.

You must be smiling TFR and with good reason. Souths played better than I expected.
The Morris boys are as reliable as they come and they're not scared to share the load bringing the ball back out of their quarter.

You thought Mitchell played better? Well I guess he did carry the ball up a couple of times and he did make a couple of tackles I guess ...... seriously mate, LM was hopeless.
At least two tries [or was it three?] were scored because he was out of position.
Phil Gould was correct; Mitchell can't read a game.

When at Easts he was surrounded by players who basically coached him, making sure he was in position. They made him look good.

After all the nonsense talking himself up; the "FB is my position. Put me there and you'll see!", one would think that he'd have done everything in his power to succeed once given the opportunity.

He's more of a liability than an asset. He should be embarrassed. Yet he seems rather pleased with himself. A legend in his own mind.

Mitchell simply does not have what it takes to be fullback.
It will be most interesting to see what sort of contract Souths will offer him for 2021. I'd love to see his initial reaction when he's offered way less than he thinks he's worth.

I think Latrell went alright. I do think that the Roosters weren't as convincing as people think.

I have very mixed feelings about Latrell.

I don't blame him for knocking us back at all. It is a lot of money, but he knew (and we eventually did too) that his form would slump here at Tigers. He has only ever played in one of the best NRL teams in the past...what...10 years? Maybe more? Tigers are still rebuilding, and if he signed with us there would be an enormous expectation to deliver us into the top 8.

I'm definitely not insensitive to mental health or personal demons, but when it comes to professional sport, mental toughness is what builds a player's career. You really can't use it as an excuse for a form slump because there are dozens of hungry players who are looking to take your jersey.

But then, on the other hand, the dude is f**king 22. Seriously, I had to double-check his age. He has shown that he has more raw talent than anyone currently in the NRL. I kind of feel like he needs to crash and burn a bit at the Bunnies so that a lot of the attention moves away from him and he can spend a year or two getting to the right level of fitness and skill required to play fullback.

I'm sure nobody doubts that a peak fitness Latrell with a couple of years experience at fullback would be one of the most dangerous weapons since Greg Inglis...which btw takes LM to the ripe old age of f**king 24 by the time this happens...

Yes, We’ve all crashed and burned and been better for it....guaranteed.
He is very very young. It’s like trying to win an argument with a 13 year old when really winning the argument from the adults point of view isn’t the goal - mainly because it’s a waste of time trying.
And I think it’s inevitable he will have the last laugh (depending on how you would view his success) He’s got too much time and ability on his side to not succeed.

Remember that Teddy was all potential and not much else at 22 years old as well (different circumstances I know). I’m happy we didn’t pick him up for his down years but I still think he will be one of the best outside backs over the next decade.

And given that he is NSW, I think we all want to see him back at his best!
