Classic victim blaming attitude - and people wonder why feminism is on the rise.

It is highly likely that she felt the need to take screenshots as substantive proof.

Right, cause that's the first thing that goes through your mind.

There's no victim blaming, we don't even know who the 'victim' is. For all we know it was consensual, as has been claimed, and the player is the one getting dragged through the mud.

What is concerning is the need to blame and condemn without any definitive proof at all based on shaky accusations.

Wasn't Conrad Hurrell suspended for a sex act vid that was consensual , can't remember the details but if that's the case then *the player*needs to be suspended even if consensual to keep consistency
no, fined $5000 & social media training

So does anyone see a lawsuit against the NRL by the bulldogs coming out of this?

I’m sure Manly would be happy to go in on it

Mitchell Pearce should for sure. the way he was treated and ones that follow not is disgraceful. As said before it cost us a whole season.

Yet on Saturday we will play minus two players, one for a tackle that was earlier in the year deemed legal and one for a tackle that a Souths player also committed a worse version of, whilst they are at full strength with players who should be suspended for as long as if not longer than Mitchell was.

The NRL are a laughing stock.

That’s not why he is banned though. They both got the same punishment...

NRL fans are a laughing stock.

Oh and the angle taken by Souths and the media to accuse the woman of being a Roosters fan trying to derail their season is also disgusting

Some clubs take action, some don't.

Souffs don't. Broncos don't.

At other clubs you can get sacked for bubbling in your own gob or just being a passenger in a car and telling the truth.

Accusing someone of being a roosters fan is awful I will grant you that.
I would rather be outed as a dope.

Apparently they haven’t even spoken to the woman yet, how can you sack someone when you haven’t even spoken to the person making the claim?

To be fair, I think the poster was responding to the assertion in the post that he was quoting that if this was not consensual that the woman 'could just close the chat'. They did not make a claim that it wasn't consensual or not.

In the example used, Surely said:
It's video not in person

If he starts taking his dick out and you don't want to see close the chat

So Surely was raising the scenario not Chook Norris. And Chook's response is correct.

Correct - how everyone else missed that I'll never know.

Lol this hasn’t even been to court and there appears to be too sides of the story.

Yet you’re talking about victim blaming, who is the victim?

As discussed above, I have already acknowledged multiple times that the situation is unclear.

However, surely implied the lady was the victim by saying "if she doesn't like it she can just close the video". That is VERY consistent with victim blaming a la "if she doesn't want to get raped, don't show so much skin"

Kent seemed to be saying last night that Souths had no case to answer
He said having reviewed the evidence that the whole thing stank of a beat up and the NRL would find that way

Nothing to look at, move along

That's definitely how I see this thing playing out

I mean, they can't have the Inglis v Slater fairy-tale Final if they're not both playing

Though Slater will be awarded the Clive Churchill even if the Sharks make the GF
That's already been decided. Allegedly.

We are currently working through the News Ltd response to fans daring to call them out for their shit over the last decades. These situations have been stored longer than a Woolies apple. They may as well put a NSW police watermark behind the stories. Same smell.
