Biggest divas in rock....look at fnm and adtr clash in Sydney last yr. Fnm packed out mainstage while adtr had their fans pack out stage 4!!! That's what will happen with A7X fans and maiden but Alm shadows is a precious lil bitch! I sayreplace them with a band who will appreciate of being on the same lineup as so Many f**king awesome bands like soundwave offers

Chances are 100% of that ocurring.

Avenged Sevenfold regretfully announce they will not be performing at the upcoming Soundwave in Australia. After much effort, the band decided that they could not offer fans the live experience they have come to expect and didn’t want to disappoint them. Avenged Sevenfold will return to Australia soon to headline their own tour.

Just checked the website, there are a lot of calls for Killswitch engage or rise against to replace A7X. Can't see it happening though. KSE would make my day though. But apparently they don't want a big metal band to clash with Iron Maiden.

Not when they've got 5 albums worth of kick ass material. Have they announced any side shows or anything. Having seen them multiple times before I can't see how they can recreate the experience in a 40 minute set.

I know where you're coming from, but it's a festival. You've got to expect things like that.

I'm saying they're perfect playing before Maiden because that means I can see both.

Ironically, a sideshow for them was being organized... with Avenged Sevenfold. Apparently it's unlikely they'll do one now that those egomaniacs have pulled out.

I'm not even a Maiden fan but who the f**k are Avenged Sevenfold?? I hope they find a way to give some other bands a longer slot instead of a replacement. I'm not a huge All That Remains fan but they're playing for like 20 minutes and have 4 studio albums. Silverstein have 30 minutes and have God knows how many albums. Makes no sense.

they really need to woo up on the amount of bands they sign up for SW, more is not the merrier, it just means bands play for a lot less amount of time, it pisses people off TBH.

Yeah, I'd usually prefer to pay a little more to see my fave bands (coheed, protest) headline their own show. I mean they are only out once every 2-3 years, and in protests case its their first time out. It'd be nice to have hour sets..lol.
