Man I jumped though the roof when I saw them on it!!! So happy hope they don't pull out

See you in Sydney for the sideshows, mate... if they happen that is. I can actually see Social D and Gaslight playing a double bill together. They are a perfect complement for each other musically

Aside from Hot Water Music and Bouncing SOuls in December I'm shelving all my plans and tipping my hard earned into airfares and Social D tickets in Feb/March. No need for accomodation as I have friends and relatives in Sydney and Brisbane who can put me up. As for Adelaide, I'm happy to fly in on the afternoon of the show and fly back in to Melbourne straight after.

No need for me to go to the States now!

Also, I just reactivated my account from when I initially signed up at the end of 2007. Will that get me on the email notification list?

I reckon a lot of those might play on the same stage, so you could be alright for clashes.

Thats a really good lineup. I normally pay no attention to these music festivals because they're normally choc full of sh*t bands, but I really want to go to this.

Apparently there's going to be a second announcement in October, with 8 more bands and a third headliner.

Usually the band in BOLD are the ones on the mainstage - BUT slayer and Rob Zombie sem likely for metal stage closers

social D will play abut 5.30 i rekon on main stage

Bronx SHOULD headline one of the smaller stages!

Sevendust will be on the metal stge earlyish

but with 8 more bands and a 3rd headliner to be announced this lineup can honestly only get better!!!

Please bring H2O in the last 8 bands and i rekon the 3rd headliner will possibly be Stone Temple...someone reunited recently

yeh i f**king hope they dont pull out last few times its been out of their control though so fingers crossed!!!

Social Distortion, Gaslight Anthem, The Bronx and a smaller band from the line up will be a sideshow....Bronx have played with Gaslight a few times in the States.

A sideshow id love to see would be Avenged Sevenfold, Sevendust, Ill Nino, Nonpoint....that would be amazing

my 4 fav bands ever are RATM, TOOL, LED ZEPPLIN and PRIMUS.

I've seen 3 of them, only Primus to go, I cant believe I'll actually get to see them.

I know right? Saw Claypool earlier this year (or was it late 09?), thought that would be the closest i'd get... They are the band that most excite me, id pay 130 for them alone, easily. However the likes of Iron Maiden, Qotsa, Slash and maybe even Slayer, will make this almost as epic as the last few years.

My wishes for the headliners would be STP, Rancid or No Doubt. Street Dogs or Flogging Molly for the "other" bands.

Oh, God I am getting so heavily in to this it's not funny! March 4th can not come fast enough!

Just wish Maiden were playing a Brisbane 'Arena' show as well...
I'd imagine the Arena show will be a longer setlist than the SW one.
Might fly to Sydney, catch Maiden arena show then see them again at SW Brisbane.

Flogging Molly ARE amazing. Seen em 4 times live and they are phenomenal. Plus I have harmless man love for Bob as he's the NICEST man in rock and roll. Met him after the first Melbourne show in 08 and I'd just started learning banjo and I had a chat and asked if I could bring it back the next night so he could sign it and he was more than happy to oblidge...deadset gentleman.

No Doubt would be a nice little addition. New album out soon and while they are "poppy" they would still appeal to people like myself who were teenagers when Tragic Kingdom was out and they were doing the "punkier" "ska-ish" sounding stuff. I've seen them 3 times but would welcome the chance to see them again.... they could be the cooler version of Third Eye Blind who I am still very puzzled by as to why they are there! I've spent the last 2 nights watching 2 concert filsm; Social Distortion live in Orange County 2003 DVD and No Doubt Live In The Tragic Kingdom (ON VHS!!!!!) from 1997 when the band were at the ultimate and Gwen was more focused on making music than being a clotheshorse! They'll never make another album like TK but anything to help me forget that last solo record she cut!

As for Rancid; Tim Armstrong really needs to grow a f**king pair!

Slayer are kinda past it, though...

And you guys need to show some love for The Sword. :ls:
