Toovey last night when talking about independant doctors he said "and independant doctor will always err on the side of caution whereas a club doctor will weigh risk and reward".

If that their attitude then they dont get it at all.

Its obvious the clubs don't get it and they won't until the NRL force them to, and if the NRL don't come down hard on the clubs then they are equally negligent.

I think you're exaggerating some of those incidences, but I do agree that it's an issue in the NRL. Why anyone would expect that club physicians to be impartial is beyond me. The NRL needs to look at having independent physicians to make these kinds of calls. Seems like a no brainer to me.

To what end? If the NRL can't trust club doctors to place the welfare of the player above all else in monitoring concussion what else do they need an independent doctor to supervise, it's a slippery slope. The sanctions are there to alter behaviour, if they are severe enough and followed through on then it ties the clubs interests to the doctors interests of protecting the player. If clubs believe they could lose the points for a win anyway if they put a concussed player back on they won't do it.
You either trust the club doctors to put the players welfare first or you don't, I don't think you can pick and choose which situations they can be expected to act according to the interests of the player.

This is the key to making this work. Start stripping points and the clubs will get in line.

actually the cowboys winning streak over you guys in the NRL is 684 days long and counting....

will hit 700 before you get a chance to end it..

and if you don't, there is a very real chance that streak could stretch to be over 1,000 days long...

yep... nothing says 'destroying' a team like a losing streak against them that stretches into the 4 digits.....

i'm sure the boys were depressed about that when holding the premiership trophy

You are a disgrace mate. Wests Tigers are a better club without having fair weather supporters like yourself.

no i'm not a disgrace. if you treat your customers like dirt for years then you're going to lose them. you can't be unloyal to those who are unloyal to you first. wt are a filthy scummy abomination. i moved on to something bigger and better and i am very happy.
