?I remember asking him if I could still train with the top squad, do weights and things like that. He said, ?No?. Next thing I know I was cleaning out my locker. I was shitty, angry, and upset. The whole squad saw me cleaning it out. It was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. Then I had to jump in the car and go home and tell my wife.??
Not the best way to handle a difficult situation - What sort of lasting impression would that have had on all the other players in the change rooms? Even if Jamie was being a pain in the arse this is no way to treat someone.
Maybe Price should have asked himself ... Is this how Wayne would have handled this situation ?
Finally something we can blame Mitch Rein for lol
I suggest you look up how Wayne handled the situation when Justin Hodges left the Broncos to join the Roosters because once Hodges announced it he spent the rest of the season playing for Toowoomba (The then QLD Cup feeder side for Brisbane).
Let it go lads. Soward was great for us and should be revered for his efforts in getting us a premiership.
There was a lot going on behind the scenes in luring Widdop and others to the club. Soward was not in the plans and had done very little for almost 18 months. Price didn't help but I don't see too many putting him on a pedestal either ?
Soward needs to move on and so should we, he doesn't play for us anymore. Good luck at the Panthers Jamie and thank you for your efforts!
Onwards and upwards....
says it all reallyAt the end of the day, Jamie Soward has an NRL career with one of the top clubs in the competition, while Price is unemployed and begging to be appointed as an assistant coach at the Sharks. I think the world has sorted itself out.
lol. Tabloidism at its best. Reads like a high school assignment.
I don't wish ill to Price.
Hope he finds his way and things work out for him ok.
He wasn't a malcontent. Just wasn't good at what he did. That might change given new experiences.
He is as entitled to earn a living as the next bloke, be it as a coach or whatever else he chooses to do.
Good luck to him in future endeavours.
Hopefully he will find suitable employment in another field. Just not a football field.
Hows that relevant to the Soward issue,HODGES had signed with another club ,completely different situation to Soward's.
Almost as dumb as your comment below about the Malaysian airlines flight.
What are you, 12? Why would you wish I'll on him? I would be happy for the guy to go overseas and do well at coaching. Dont get why you'd want him to fail.
Not wishing ill on him. He needs a career change and I wouldn't want another Club to go through what we did with this man. I certainly don't respect how he treated Soward and clearly he doesn't have the man management skills to be a Coach.
I can think of 15 other clubs I'd like to see go through what we've been through, and worse.
Bottle, what are you, 12?:lol::lol::lol::lol:
