Soward feud with Price and another dragons player

At the end of the day, Jamie Soward has an NRL career with one of the top clubs in the competition, while Price is unemployed and begging to be appointed as an assistant coach at the Sharks. I think the world has sorted itself out.

?I remember asking him if I could still train with the top squad, do weights and things like that. He said, ?No?. Next thing I know I was cleaning out my locker. I was shitty, angry, and upset. The whole squad saw me cleaning it out. It was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. Then I had to jump in the car and go home and tell my wife.??

Not the best way to handle a difficult situation - What sort of lasting impression would that have had on all the other players in the change rooms? Even if Jamie was being a pain in the arse this is no way to treat someone.

Maybe Price should have asked himself ... Is this how Wayne would have handled this situation ?

I suggest you look up how Wayne handled the situation when Justin Hodges left the Broncos to join the Roosters because once Hodges announced it he spent the rest of the season playing for Toowoomba (The then QLD Cup feeder side for Brisbane).

Hows that relevant to the Soward issue,HODGES had signed with another club ,completely different situation to Soward's.

Almost as dumb as your comment below about the Malaysian airlines flight.

Let it go lads. Soward was great for us and should be revered for his efforts in getting us a premiership.
There was a lot going on behind the scenes in luring Widdop and others to the club. Soward was not in the plans and had done very little for almost 18 months. Price didn't help but I don't see too many putting him on a pedestal either ?
Soward needs to move on and so should we, he doesn't play for us anymore. Good luck at the Panthers Jamie and thank you for your efforts!
Onwards and upwards....

Well said...well and truly time to move on

lol. Tabloidism at its best. Reads like a high school assignment.

I'm with you, stuff we already knew so who gives a stuff.
He and Price have both moved on and so have we .
F#&k the media screwing around ,they have done enough crap with the Bennett saga, one minute the genius's say he is poised to sign with us,now the smartasses say he is poised to sign with them.
Does it mention why there was a rift, just a coach telling him he should move on.

I was sort of glad to see Soward go as I thought he was past it and would struggle to make the Panthers first grade squad. Boy was i wrong. He has proven alot of people including Soward bashers (Panthers fans especially) that he is a winner and coached properly can win you games as he has done for Penrith. I prefer our halves but Soward is killing it at the Panthers and good on him. Sign of a champion player.

Funny how when McGregor took over Soward praised him and said he had enjoyed his time at the Cutters under Mary. He said he had the making of a great coach and knew how to handle his players. I thought it was a stab at Price but it is also proving to be true. Goes to show how much power Price had and the board literally backed him 100% not like what some claim that he was told what to do by Doust especially with team selections. The thing that makes me sick reading this is Price told Soward he was dropped after the loss to the Dogs. They lost by a goal kick? How bad could they have been that night up against a top 8 side with over 10mil. Widdop must be thanking his lucky stars Price was not in charge in the Panthers game, he may have been dropped as well after that game. They lost that game by goal kicking as well.

The player that did the graffiti surely would have come from the leadership group or else it would have caused some havoc you would feel and that player would have been dropped. Funny thing is, if the players were against Soward because of his fued with Price they would have felt stupid a year later because it sounds like all the players were against Prices methods and wanted him gone. Soward did not need that extra off season to know that was the case.

I don't wish ill to Price.
Hope he finds his way and things work out for him ok.
He wasn't a malcontent. Just wasn't good at what he did. That might change given new experiences.
He is as entitled to earn a living as the next bloke, be it as a coach or whatever else he chooses to do.
Good luck to him in future endeavours.

Hopefully he will find suitable employment in another field. Just not a football field.

What are you, 12? Why would you wish I'll on him? I would be happy for the guy to go overseas and do well at coaching. Dont get why you'd want him to fail.

Not wishing ill on him. He needs a career change and I wouldn't want another Club to go through what we did with this man. I certainly don't respect how he treated Soward and clearly he doesn't have the man management skills to be a Coach.

Spot on. Just like many other coaches have failed so has he. He is not the only one. Only problem was he was given more time than the other bad coaches that failed which probably made it worse for him and his career.

I can think of 15 other clubs I'd like to see go through what we've been through, and worse.
