Apparently the bloke in that movie was such a dud he didn't last long in the industry. From what I found off wiki is that he lives a hermits life and supplements his income by breeding goats north of Wollongong. He has cut himself off from the real world and only corresponds through various forums.

The whisper is that he has more sigs then actual living friends.

I'm with you coolum, should have been sorted long ago.

Shows how difficult it must be to get sponsorship sorted. Given a few other clubs have also struggled to get it sorted early on.

Interesting point re getting sponsorships.

A mate of mine was trying to secure some box seats at the knights game at shark park. He came back to me and said the company he works for were still negotiating the box details. Long story short apparently the sharks realized we have been giving away sponsorships and corp boxes at stupid prices and now it seems we have turned up the prices. All well and good but a bit pretentious if you ask me. We are still in te bottom 4 most unwanted brands in the nrl currently. That's blatantly obvious.

If we have been skimping and not converting opportunity into decent cash, then i'm all for them jacking up the prices in order to do so.

Especially if we have been selling ourselves short...

As much as people want to bag our brand out.... selling stuff at dirt cheap prices certainly won't give the brand any more rep.

I'd prefer the club talk the brand up than down.

There is a balance though shark shocked.

No point making sponsorships and boxes at prices that are not market competitive.

Comes back to having 20000 people paying $10 or 10000 people paying $20

I just think to be still negotiating season boxes and MAJOR sponsorships now is too late
