And as fans who have seen too much of this for a majority of this century it is only natural that we would worry. Every year we say the same thing, "it's only a trial" or "its the 9's, who cares".

The same traits is what scares us for the upcoming season.

Same traits as looking unfit and a yard behind everyone else like we just saw? They may very well not be taking it seriously which suits me but seeing the same thing as we have for the last 15 or so years doesn't have me jumping for joy.

Although I'm not really concerned but my observation after watching that is that Norman was out of puff after 5 mins. That's just weird to me.

Probably at a different point in their pre season training.
As long as they are up to speed come Round 1.

Most of their conditioning eg.speed/strength work would have been completed by this point in the pre-season. It would be more maintenance from this point on with a focus on game play/patterns & ball work

Played smart and the conditions well, we just picked a big slow side. As Stagger said no injuries so far which is the main thing.

And Bryce Cartwright is a beast and should be playing origin ahead of overrated plodders like Jackson and Cordner.

Well it might be true. He has massive natural ability and should have done more with it by now. But he's still young.

He's got some good footwork I reckon. His tackle breaking ability is immense. And he's obviously quick enough for the outside backs or he wouldn't be playing there.
