That sort of effort in cover defence is typical of French. Last year in the 20s we were getting pounded by the Titans late in the season and French had to make several cover tackles from fullback, which he is generally quite good at despite his size.

Towards the end of the game when the result was well and truly settled the Titans made yet another break and on this occasion French was brushed off somewhere between halfway and our 40m line. The Titans were dead certs to score as our left edge centre and winger (Miski and someone else) didn't have a great deal of speed at the best of times and were gassed pretty hard at this stage.

Out of no where the Titans are bundled into touch 1m out from our line by a blue and gold blur. French had gotten back up near halfway and had over taken our winger and centre to make the try saving effort. It meant shit all in a game that was well and truly over but it typified the drive of French and was a phenomenal display of athleticism.

He sure does have heart.

i don't really know why we are seen as one of the more likely teams to win this - equal third favourites with the bookies coming into this ..... we really don't have a strong team for this tournament

Absolutely nothing this morning from that fake tanned wombat Tim tam Gilbert.

No mention of it between 6 and 6:30. Hayne was coming on after 8 for super bowl so I reckon they would have mentioned it at some stage

Could we have a Kieran Moss thread where all mossy111's irrelevant sidetracking posts get diverted to?

Hadley mentioned that we'd won but had to lay the boot in about an article today saying we will start on -4 points.

I have not seen a single channel 9 news report where they even mention us as winning the fkn tournament

Yet channel 7 have us winning as their main sport story over and over

Wtf is channel 9's problem? Are they becoming the telegraph of the airwaves? ... f**kwits
