It’ll be interesting to see how long it takes Brown to agree to an extension. If he wants to play first grade in round one he’ll need to sign a new contract. If the little merkin resists an extension we'll know he’s up to something. Hopefully we don’t have to throw the bank at an 18 year old halfback just to get him to agree to an extra year or two.

We may be hoping to get by with our current top 30 stocks for the first half of the year and get Stefano playing against men in NSW Cup. Come 1st July we will hopefully be able to play him in 1st grade despite being on a development contract. It’s a pretty good ploy actually.

At 19 there’s no reason we would need him to play (which is the case with top 30 players). But yeah, if he’s ready by mid year we can give him a run.
