Wow Anderson gone now.

This is a really wobbly NZ outfit, I might have to reconsider us as top 3 chances for the World Cup if this continues.

Elliott has a big chance here to cement his spot. If he does then Guptil will come under pressure and I have no doubt Latham will get a go at the top of the order before the WC as an experiment.

This is good for us..l

There's no point steamrolling the Sri Lankans for 5 straight games....

This is putting the lower order under pressure in a match environment.

It's gonna happen during the tournament...

Would love to see the tail stand up and then Boult, McClenaghan and Southee really dominate.

What worries me is that this quite a thin Sri Lankan bowling attack dominating us.
Thirimane isn't even a bowler.

The only bowling attack that really worries me is South Africa, more so because we always struggle against them. Australia can destroy any team on their day, but we're more likely to lift against them than drop our bundle.

This might sound a little silly to some...

But I was thinking that it might be beneficial for us to send Taylor back to domestic cricket in the lead up to the World Cup...

Have a word with him... Tell him that he will definitely be the number 4 for NZ in the World Cup... And that they want him to go back to domestic cricket to score some runs and find some form.

IMO he just needs to feel ball coming out of the middle of the bat for a couple of innings...

This is really good situation for Ronchi. We all know he is a great finisher, but he is needing to take on more responsibility here. Can only mature him as a player.

Don't disagree something is not right with Ross you see it in his fielding as well. But he is the kind of guy that it can change overnight for.

Kiwi Grant and Kiwi Luke doing a nice rebuild. Quite like pressure going on them too.

Anderson is certainly country strong, decent technique could really develop, think he played first class cricket at 16?

I will be interested to see how Taylor goes when there's a faster bowling attack. I think the lack of pace is really hurting him more than anything. He's at his best when he's whipping the ball off his legs and punching it back down the ground. The extra pace with the ball coming onto the bat is what he needs to start feeling good again.

At the moment he seems to be forcing it too much.

Rochi motoring along, makes me wonder if this is good batting by these two or really average batting from the rest.

He's probably gonna get out after I mention this....

But Elliot really is a guy who can put a decent score up and just never looks troubled.

He's scored 50 odd and I don't think he's even offered a chance yet....

Elliott is a solid player, the problem is that his innings are 'forgettable' when he performs and when he fails it looks dreadful.

Bit of both Williamson got a great nut, Anderson was ripped off by McCullum. Guptill and Taylor's dismissals were very poor.

Pleased Elliott is going well, really don't like the selection but it is working out so far

This pitch looks nice to bat on.... I thought it was abit slow... But it seems like it's okay.

I'd be tempted to bring Southee in next... He could almost take the game away from Sri Lanka completely with a good little 5 overs on this pitch and fast outfield.
