Perennial cricket World Cup chokers

I think Australia should win

I think they are pretty ordinary tbh

Chokers or not RSA have a few great players both with bat and ball, nobody else does

They are the ones to beat

They have had few great players with bat and ball in the past, didn't do much good.

Got belted by us in November where they only missed dumminy. we missed a few more.

but Let the world think they are gonna win it after belting WIs on postcard grounds, south Africa the great, lol

The choke doesn't last forever my friends as shown by the St George Illawarra Dragons, Jana Novotna and old mate Adam Scott.

Completely agree with this, if you were to analyse based on purely the team sheet South Africa is miles ahead of anybody else.

You'd think after so much choking they'll finally come right, they're my favorites to win it.

Australia have an incredibly deep batting line-up and some excellent fast bowlers. Not saying we'll win it but I'm not sure how our ODI side could be considered 'ordinary.'

I wouldn't say you guys are ordinary, but lack of experience is one major factor.

Too strong a word ordinary by your standards and in line with the rest if us. RSA should be favourites but Aust, NZ, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and even England all have a chance

England!?

India no chance imo with this cafeteria bowling, Sri Lanka's heavy dependence on the big three will cost them but if Malinga comes back then things get interesting.

Pakistan are always a wildcard, NZ have a big chance but still need to improve from what they are now.

South Africa and Australia lead the pack.

What worries me though is the minnow heavy draw we have this time, all due respect to them but there are going to be a lot of real spankings this time.

Yeah fair enough, I think our batting especially has a few rocks or diamonds. Can see Australia smashing some huge scores or getting rolled cheaply. Hopefully the more reliable guys like Smithy, Clarke (if he's there) can score consistently. Death bowling remains a concern.

Not sure how much to take from England's belting of India yesterday, but any win against one of the big sides has to be valuable this close to the WC.

Aus, NZ, SA & India looking likely semi-finalists at the moment imo.

The "Big Show" is something the rest of us just aren't getting.

Seems to be a hyped up non event? I remember "The Freak" Ian Harvey still not clear to me what was freakish about him. Does Maxwell sing, dance or play guitar because as an international cricketer he seems rather run of the mill, except he has more insane moments than most.

IMO Anderson and Neesham both much better as are the likes of Jadeja and several others, but maybe all the toys will be played with at the WC?

Maxwell is a talent, no doubt about that but this whole "Big Show" thing is just as much a mystery to Aussie fans as to everyone else. His shot selection is terrible, he is the last player you want at the crease in any sort of pressure situation and his bowling is fairly innocuous as well.

The guys you mentioned all offer more, Jimmy Faulkner is 10 times the cricketer Maxwell is. Maybe he'll bat up the order during the Cup & display some of his ability, but I doubt it.

Depends which side of the ditch you live on.

Agree on Faulkner looks a very good cricketer who performs under pressure, a lot to like about him
