A friend of mine was telling me that some were complaining.
I asked of what
She said that a woman complained that the corners were too tight for her to turn her Land Cruiser
I laughed
Head down there today and try and exit via the servo end. You'll get a good laugh.

Thing is the car park is huge they have just crammed it as much as possible. I have two big cars but it is doable. If you ever drive there on game day you would be in for a woooorld of pain.

The shopping centre opened yesterday. It is f**king tiny for something that looks so big from the outside. The car park is tight, spots small and if you exit near the servo you have to turn left, do a u turn to get back to the lights which would be a f**ken nightmare on game day or christmas.

There has to be more to it? The woolies is huge and will save me going to Caringbah so it'll get used but fmd.

The parking doesn't seem to make sense at the servo end but get the tiny comments personally. There's never been any secret in it wasn't going to be a westfield. And given that block will have a leagues club, shopping centre, car park and apartments it seems pretty reasonable to me.

Personally I feel it's going to have a really good selection of shops - Woollies, Aldi, Dan Murphy's, Pancetta, Seafood, Meat Emporium plus the other small shops. Not many other areas in the shire has all that.

I think avoiding it on Game day is key, though how many day games will there be this year. For night games only the big shops will be open anyway. I'm sure they'll be teething pains for a bit but people will to understand when to avoid

I’ve never understood the game day parking whinge. Park in the friggen residential streets of Woolooware for a 5-10 min walk max. Piece of piss. Pack of crybabies

Yeah I think now since we haven't had the fields or leagues club to park for several years everyone should be used to it by now.

The shopping centre will make it maybe better as atleats there are some options but it'll be a shitfight getting out of there potentially if they continue to close roads off after the game.

No issue if you hang around afterwards but be cheaper to park around the streets.

Most of the designated parking at stadiums is a shitshow. My worst experience was at Parra Stadium. It took 1.5 hours to get out of their parking building.
I make a point of scouring every grounds nearest ressie parking and it works well, even Homebush.
With how close you can park to Shark Park with zero hassles it really is beyond me why people try to get real close….unless of course you have a serious mobility issue or are extremely old like Quigs.

That’s pretty much norm anywhere these days - people are fugged.
We have been by passing Miranda and going to kirrawee brick pit site, which Sharks should be a replica of, by the sounds of it, not?
Kirrawee is pretty good, parking there is ample and pretty much get in and out routine.
Won’t be going to sharks for a few weeks me thinks, let the fanfare die down.

The tiny comment was more so the size of the spots and the turns/ramps. Feels like caringbah woolies tight but with smaller spots. It seems crammed but there is a huge amount of spots but throw in crowds and people who can't drive it will be painful when busy. Luckily I can walk to shark park on game day or if I move I know where to park in the side streets.

My game day thing is as you mentioned the teething pains which will be from away fans, casuals who will expect it to be easy because theres a "shopping centre" parking there. It will take forever to get out at that servo end. How they will do leaguesy only parking I have no idea but that is what they are paid for I guess.

I was only there for a little bit and saw the Woolies/Dan Murphys and my barber who moved in. I couldn't work out the other stuff was besides the food court but I was in a rush. I parked on level 2/3 can't remember at the servo end so if there is more happy days but I just assumed that would be where the new club is going to be so didn't explore it more with my limited time. From driving past the entire thing looks huge but from where I was it was basically an escalator between Aldi/Dans to woolies to car park. I'll check out the shark park entrance next time.

That’s pretty much norm anywhere these days - people are fugged.

Someone tried to tell me this was bigger than Kirrawee? Doesn't seem right. Then again I have only been past Kirrawee never inside. I'm stoked I can use it for Woolies and save the trip to Caringbah. My entire commute around the shire has been cut in half. I now live in a 3km bubble. Up, up!

I used to live in Cronulla up until mid 19. I would get the bus back from the match. Simple. Not that I agree with that being the best model.

I am not really experienced in the bus and train services feeding the rest of Sutherland post game, but to me, the club and more so the NRL, must be pressuring the state government for the adequate supply of public transport to and from match days all across the city.

There shouldn’t be buses outside the ground, slowly navigating local traffic to get to destinations. It should be three buses non-stop for an hour after the game in a traffic exclusion/priority zone, shipping supporters up to Woolooware Station only, before you can jump on a one in every ten/fifteen minute train service all stops Cronulla to Sutherland.

On a shop comparison it’s pretty on par

Dan Murphys
Woollies
Aldi
Pancetta
Food choices
Bay Central will have a meat emporium though not sure how big and will have a seafood place.

For the amount of space they had I think they’ve done pretty well

No. Just normal pensioners. The special pensioners like you are left right out or in aged care facilities
Arrrh it's good to see that the elderly are getting looked after. Taxes should always be increased so that the high standard of the pensioners lifestyle can be maintained and upgraded.

For the record, Aldi pies are better than Mrs Macs although I can only afford them on pension day.
