It's great that they've gone "pre-digital" in regards to a lot of special effects. Especially in regards to non-human characters. The CGI overdose in Eps I - III was one of the biggest let downs.

It was painfully obvious and sad.

The worst for mine are the cringe worthy scenes in Attack of the Clones where Obi Wan interacts with the fat alien in the diner and and the long-necked clone manufacturers. The interactions and dialogue are so far off.

I thought episode II and III had their characters set up reasonably well and a decent enough plot. In fact all the ingredients were there to pull it off.

But as mentioned horrible scripts, horrible overuse of CGI, no acting.
Lucas gets most of the blame and it's probably fair enough.

Bad scripts. Horrible direction. Boring editing. Poor acting. Overuse of CGI.
It's all on Lucas.

Eww, I can't stand that scene. Completely unnecessary.

How about when the Jedi are just swinging their lightsabres around when fighting the droids. They look ridiculous.

Lucas became such a lazy director.

no 3D shit, just the basic film in 2D.

All he ever did was focus on creating worlds, ships and odd looking aliens
Totally forgot about the most important part, the human element.

The easiest test is...

Describe Han: rebellious, roguish, charming, sense of heroism underneath exterior, anti-hero, world weary
Describe Luke: heroic, impulsive, ambitious, uncomplicated

Describe Qui Gon Jinn: ...........
Describe Padme: .........
Describe Anakin: ....... angry! about... something... ?

Come to think of it, I don't remember a *single* line from Episode I apart from "THIS is pod racing!!".

Um, "Sebulba always wins?"
