Lazy is exactly how to describe it.

All he ever did was focus on creating worlds, ships and odd looking aliens
Totally forgot about the most important part, the human element.

The easiest test is...

Describe Han: rebellious, roguish, charming, sense of heroism underneath exterior, anti-hero, world weary
Describe Luke: heroic, impulsive, ambitious, uncomplicated

Describe Qui Gon Jinn: ...........
Describe Padme: .........
Describe Anakin: ....... angry! about... something... ?

You've seen the RedLetterMedia reviews?
They are absolutely spot on. Best reviews ever.

Come to think of it, I don't remember a *single* line from Episode I apart from "THIS is pod racing!!".

Um, "Sebulba always wins?"

Terrible script.

Still better than "I wish I could just wish away my feelings."

Episode II is worse.

it's something I have never ever done before as i believe you should just be grateful for what is given to you, but last night i told the missus that all i want for christmas this year is gold class for episode VII

no 3D shit, just the basic film in 2D.

she accepted, and i calmly took my knife away from her throat

I'm not going Gold Class. I'm going for the biggest screen possible.
I will be there opening night. Will take a day off work and line the f**k up if I have to (I did it with the prequels, so might as well now).

"I don't like sand..."

I think that's episode 2 lol. I only know because I watched the honest trailer for it the other day.

Its so disappointing because the Anakin storyline should have been brilliant. there were 3 great movies in there somewhere.

Wish away my feelings is episode 2 as well but it's nowhere near as bad as the sand quote.

"Half in the BAAAaggg" lol. Those guys are truly brilliant.

They are a little too critical at times, but at least they do it in a funny manner.
Their immense hate for Boyhood makes me laugh even though I liked that movie. They really need to stop ragging on Man of Steel though.

I don't like sand either. Maybe that's why I don't hate that line as much as the other one.

How about this one:

"Are you an angel? I've heard the deep space pilots talk about them. They live on the moons of Iego, I think. They're the most beautiful creatures in the universe."

Delivered by the worst child actor of all time (which is no mean feat).

Anakin actually yells "Yippee!" at one stage.

ok enough of the prequel shit, i'd seriously convinced myself that they don't exist, and it was all just one big lucas troll

Maybe it wasn't really Lucas.
Maybe the real Lucas died some time after Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and he was replaced with a no-talent lookalike.

Look. I am ok with the prequels but they would have been so much better if Lucas hadn't written them. I usually just skip the first two, watch Sith and then do the original trilogy. Just managed to get the original theatrical releases on dvd. Will never watch the special editions again if i can help it.

Unfortunately they didn't give them the same restoration treatment that the special editions were!

So hyped for this. My love for Start Wars had wavered the past ten years but the Comic Con video had my heart racing.

Midnight session for sure.

It's important to remember that Lucus sucked the souls out of a very strong cast.
An experienced child actor was on a hiding to nothing here.

True, but I was just saying that he is still a poor actor.
Have you seen that kid in Jingle All The Way? He is atrocious!
Just one example of bad casting by Lucas (Sam Jackson another).

 Yeah he definitely sucked.

But Lucas could be handed a cast of Pacino, Cruise, Bale and Norton and still make them stiff and bored mumbling horrible lines.

But Tom Cruise is a shithouse actor so he would probably ruin the movie if Lucas didn't.

Gonna disagree with that, Cruise is *not* a shit actor.

Yes he's not much of a method actor and plays himself a lot, but he's always in character and always emoting every line 100%. Quite similar to DiCaprio, even if it's familiar you never see them phone it in.

Where would he fit in Star Wars?

Nowhere under prequel Lucas, which is the point.
He'd do just fine playing a character like Luke or Han though.
