NSW really should have sealed the win having bombed a couple of tries and other opportunities when 12 up. Have to admire the courage of Qld to come back and level it up only for Mitchell Pearce to step with a brilliant pass onto the chest of Tommy T and the rest is history.

With Teddy and Cook we can build a mini dynasty for sure. Keary was our best half and didnt get a chance sadly. Throw him in the mix for 2020 and hopefully Mitchell has turned his career around.

Alot can happen in 12 months. But we definitely have more reason to be positive for now.

I take my hat off to Fittler for his gutsy team changes after losing Game 1 and turning things around to win the series.

I personally thought some of his changes were crazy, and that he would either look like a genius if he won or out of his depth as a coach if he lost.

Well, he is now officially a genius. And is only the second NSW coach in Origin history after Phil Gould to win it twice.

I also don't think Nathan Cleary would throw the pass that Pearce did. But if he played then I still think we would have won the game. Tedesco and Cook were too good.

Our defence would have been a bit better on that edge with Nathan. I also think Cleary knows how to help Jimmy shine a bit better.

But we won. That's all that matters. Pearce did enough. The whole team did. I was worried Pearce would try too hard and ruin it for us. He didn't. I cant bag anyone out who has played part in back to back series wins... after being no hopers for so long its great to win no matter how ugly.
