So is Yeo our centre when turbo or lattrell keel over?
The bench doesn't carry an all rounder, i know robson can play backrow, hooker... but we are relying on yeo to cover the backs

id put Murray at Centre before Yeo - that middle needs to be a tight as possible - Murray is the better defender on the edge.
Id put burton at halfback for moses, he dont know to put the ball down before getting owned....videotogif_2023.06.13_14.53.20.gif
This is becoming a yearly event

Yeo played centre in the 2020 series decider and got carved up.

He's a pure middle.

Despite formerly being a rep winger.

Also, Hynes is a ski jumper. Horrible record in big games as halfback.

Even when Yeo was chosen on the Wing for Country he was primarily a back rower for us. Played 22 of 26 games at Second Row that year, and 1 at Lock.

Never before, and never again did he play Wing.

Early in his career he played quite a lot of centre. Was obviously a defensive decision. Yeo back then and even now reminds me a little of Waterhouse. A tall bodied forward who is still agile enough to cover the centres at a pinch. Waterhouse did it a few times at Rep level. Both also able to play as a middle and an edge, though Waterhouse was a better edge and in todays game - Yeo is a better middle.

Sometimes I wonder how Waterhouse would perform in todays game.

That was the joke.

That he's actually a rep winger.

He'd be shipped out due to ball control.

I doubt he would have the fitness although the skillset he had is as good as any second rower playing today. Also I have doubts he would be piling on after a teammate scores a try. Bill Ashurst with a Penrith accent.

I'd take Luke Swain or Shane Rodney over Salmon.

House goes straight into our backrow. Would give us a few more offloads too.

The ref had blown his whistle. Those two are like an old married couple.
Ref blew a whistle, that wouldn't stop burton from spoiling mitchs try, i get mitch turned for the whistle, but score it anyways, you could possibly challenge it, either way moses got owned, by our friend Burton

Rodney was my favourite Panther, was developing nicely and ran great lines.

The injuries meant we had to let him go.

I'm glad he got another premiership even if it was at Manly.

The House embodied everything that was wrong with that 00’s team; great talent but f@ck all discipline and smarts.

I doubt that Cleary would have put up with him; you could have Cliff Lyon’s skills and heart of Mitch Aubison in the body of Payne Haas, but if you give away as many penalties as House did there is no place for you in the modern panthers.

Great player, great career overall.

Different game today obviously but with his natural talent I’m sure he would have adapted just fine.

Freddie’s job on the line, he is entitled to select the team he thinks best . His selections in some area in game 1 cost him I guess and while Crichton and Hynes can consider themselves hard done by I can sort of understand the team he has gone with.
