At the same time, Sivo has scored plenty of tries untouched. Should his shitbag opponents have just stayed on their wing? It’s fine to trust your inside defender but that’s exactly how Penisini scored his try on the weekend. The opposition winger thought his opposite number was more of a threat than the merkin with the ball. Ultimately though, the defender has to make a decision and hope the attack makes a mistake. And if a winger jams in there should still be more defenders coming across in cover.

I hope the defence keeps rushing on and looking shit but that's not the point is it.

I stayed on my wing for the entirety of my illustrious Oz Tag career which ended 20 years ago.

No more than he deserves credit for all the tries he scores, many of them untouched.

There aren’t many tries he has scored that most other wingers couldn’t have. He’s done some barge over tries using his strength which mainly only the bigger wingers could do, but that’s about it.

He’s probably blown a few because of his lack of speed off the mark.

That he now seems to be suspended for a quarter of the season every year means he is worth less and less to us. Wish we could dock his pay.

I’d be going for intercepts. Fien to go in, then go out, then come in - confuse f**k out of the centre - then when they are visibly rattled and pass out of panic be there and snap it up. I’d do that every time.
