You just know anyone who is a deadset yobbo who is still living in the past, with a voice of sandpaper rasping away ,can crack a paying gig in the media in this country.Englsh language apparently not a criteria.

I'm more than convinced my hearing is deteriorating ,as a result of listening to Blocker's screaming and ranting.Maybe I should serve legal papers on Foxsports for personal damages inflicted.

he's part of the games history, like artie beetson and tommy radonokis....nothing wrong with giving the old characters a go....their knowledge on the game would be better than all us posters put together.....so he's fat and got a squeaky voice.....i'm pretty sure he didn't snort cocaine and wax his legs

call me old fashioned but its a simple game played by simple people....real people,,,,,but the best are gifted genetically, but moreso have an inner strength and a winning mentality. blocker has done in the game what so few have...and i'm picking none of the posters bagging him would have come close

I don't knock his knowledge of the game and his playing experience and his rep efforts, something i'll never achieve.I am just a simple bloke who likes to listen to commentators ,who don't want to break the decibel meter all the time.

Perhaps if he was advised to keep the volume down,I could handle it.OK understand the volumes up when a try scoring movement is on etc, but geez not every word that comes out in general conversation.

Surely it's not too hard for Foxsports to say temper it mate, keep up the analysis, but hit the loud button when things are really on
.If it was just me,then my hearing must be supersensitive, but hell I'm not alone in my comments.

So you can be absolutely shit and not be bagged for it because you once upon a time played the game.

Seems reasonable.

Parker looks like he's trying so hard...but is so awkward. Doesn't know what to do with his hands. Concentrates really hard on what he's saying.

Parker, as much as I hated him as a player and everything he's ever said in the media, might make something of himself though. This is his first year. He might turn out better than Walters and Lewis, at least.

Blocker's been at it for 20 and has gotten worse over time.

Yep. Just because someone was a good player doesn't necessarily make them a good commentator. For mine if Blocker is one of the commentators I actually turn the sound down.

I have grown to like Blocker recently - he often makes little comments that I'm thinking myself

Alzheimer's runs in my family and I have already killed 90% of my brain cells through drugs and alcohol, so Blocker speaks for those of us in society who just aren't that smart.

OK, so he gets a bit over excited at times, but who doesn't. You should see how much I squeak and carry on like a pork chop when a Roosters player makes a break. It's a miracle I don't have a cardiac arrest.

You carry on Blocker - I'll just dribble in the corner and nod in agreement. You're alright in my book big fellah

If you could find the middle between roach over excitement and corey parkers pot plant dullness it would be perfect

He completely got under Corey's Parker's skin during Sterlo tonight talking about Fifita, so he's gone up a notch for me.
