Makes you wonder why Waldron caved in, doesn't it?

The original offer changed, Proctor out, Isaacs in.

Who made the inital offer....Searle.

Who changed it?
El Dribblo cant answer me.

So Quinn, who's never played centre, and Inglis (as good as he is) who's never played 5/8, are how you resolve it? You're kidding yourself.

I may be wrong but i thought Quinn played a number of games in the centres when needed, a swich to centre from wing isnt that big of a step really, players do it all the time. As for Inglis, i thought he played a lot of his PL footy at 5/8. The lineup Hoggy posted probably isnt too far off the mark

even though it's over I'm still going to boo the Titans in round 25, it should never have dragged on as long as it did Searle should've released Turner as soon as Turner said I'm not happy with the agreement which was back in August. There's gotta be a reason why Turner didn't sign the contact the Titans sent to his manager.

that would set a great precedent

no it doesn't, I can think of 2 players one of which is playing for Parramatta at the moment who were let out of a verbal agreement and I believe the Parramatta player's agreement was with the Storm.

Ahhh...happy with this outcome...very happy indeed.

To all those who think Turner is a fringe 1st grader, or not worth these two juniors - thats fine, you have your opinions...just some of you put them forward intelligently, others are....well..like Charlie...a waste of space.

Steve Turner had a great 2006. He easily maintained his starting position in the best backline, keeping a quality player like Jake Webster confined to the stands (how many wingers/centres could have done that with Jake's form) during the finals. I predict Steve will be a future Rep player in the very near future.

One bloke reckons Quinn is better - that's great news then. We have both of them.

Smith Samou has great potential - but Israel Folau has bigger wraps - and its unlikely we would have been able to keep both.

Bring on 2007...

UPDATE: Turner just on Sports Tonight now - seems over the moon, and the relief is obvious. Great news Zap - welcome back!

who washed his hands of the matter the other day?

Wally Waldron

So you reckon Searle backed down, dropped the offer of Proctor, Samau & compo down to Isaac , Samau & compo.

Dont worry about El Diablo - he's simply living his life...one link at a time. If it aint printed in the media, or posted on the internet, then it didn't happen...

GC clear winners in this one. Yes they didn't get Proctor, but they got enough to keep them happy and Turner and the Drizzle had to pay for their sins.

I never said Turner was a fringe 1st grader, nor did i express an opinion as to wheather i thought he was worth 2 juniors, in fact i even asked about them because i dont know much about either of them. Nice pot shot though, but ive had better *yawn*
