Now that's how you extingish the seed of doubt! I applaud Searle for standing his ground. With the seed of doubt, whether clever PR from Melbourne or not, being planted with me I thought for a moment there we were going to see it do a belly flop.

And thank god it's over.

Riiiiiight.....I wasn't actually suggesting you made any of those comments. Read back through the posts though, and you'll find other people making these points...which is fine.

I was just using your name as an example of an un-intelligent poster ((hope you don't take offence). I guess the fact you didn't get it, helps to prove the point...

You mentioned my name (only) while talking about other peoples comments. What would you know about intelligence? actually don't answer that, i dont care what you think.
move on like everyone else has.

Searle still got juniors and blood money. If he was in the wrong legally, why would the Storm and Turner have allowed him to get jack sh*t?

Look I for one am just glad that the whole saga is over. For mine the fault purely and simply lay with Steve Turner, although I would suggest Melbourne didn't help matters.

Turner gave the titans his word on paper (emails are just as legal as paper these days), but didn't sign a formal contract. He then decided he didn't want to go for whatever reasons, told the storm so and they signed him up. I think the storm and turner probably felt that just like half the other broken contracts in league, that teh titans would just give up, but they didn't.

For mine I applaud the titans for holding out for what they wanted, they were totally in the right as far I am concerned. The cynical will suggest that it is not a suprise that the deal was made the same day it became official that rogers would be playing for the coast. But in saying the titans basically still got the deal they had always asked for, a couple of juniors and some compo.

Who won out, well you would have to say the titans overall.
Look I rate Turner, he has wraps on him since he was at penrith, but serious injuires have been a problem till 2006. He is a good player. Is he worth 2 juniors, well of course he is, Turner is money in the bank he is proven first grader, maybe only 5% of juniors progress to regular nrl spots. So if that was the deal the storm win. But add $50000, well thats basically money to do with what they want for the titans. Add the fact that the titans have used turner's salary to pay rogers, the titans are looking sweet.
Winners, Titans, get 2 good juniors, get Matt Rogers instead of Turner, short term this is better, long term who knows. Plus $50000 cash from Turner.

Losers: Storm, they aren't getting a new signing, and they lost 2 promising youngsters. Turner, lost cash and some integrity over the whole affair.

Big winner the game no longer are 2 of our club CEOs slinging mud in the media while the AFL is happily enjoying it's normal off season.

Yeah Lowdown, you should 'move on' - Charlie certainly knows how to 'move on' from the Turner fiasco.

Wow, you're a new kind of stupid, if i wasn't laughing so hard at you, id probably pitty you.

This whole thread has "moved on" since the few pages ago i said i hoped Turner would break his leg, we were all talking about other matters before it was brought up again, so i suggested he move on from it like the rest of the thread had.

to save yourself further embarrassment, go to bed sweetheart.

half right. the first two nominated were Smith and Proctor. they got Smith, Isaac and $100,000.

only a few days ago Waldron said this

"It's a matter for discussion between Steve's manager (David Riolo) and the Titans. It's got nothing to do with Melbourne."

If I wasn't so stupid, I would probably point out that the word you spell 'pitty' is actually spelled 'pity'. See, we can both be members of the 'Spelling Police'. Feels great doesn't it!

As for the rest of your babble - try harder...

Your mother is a saint for two reasons:

1. She is a proud Broncos supporter

2. She has had to put up with a fruitcake like yourself for years upon years - What torture...

Was that a question?

Again (hopefully for the last time), move on like the rest of us have.

No, that was a perfectly acceptable sentence. Pathetic effort Charlie (even for you) - Lift your game.

here's another Wadron quote

"There will be no compensation because we have nothing to compensate Gold Coast for. We've told our players we will not raise the issue (of a player swap).

"Steve Turner has offered some compensation, which is understandable given Steve's role in this process. But we have no need to compensate the Titans and we won't be."

i can't find anywhere Searle saying there could be no compromise in regards to which two players they'd accept

there are however a few quotes from Wally saying Melbourne wouldn't do squat

Wowsers, this bloke is straight out of the 'meathead' production line.

What kind of boofhead would become personally offended at a stranger who makes a joke about Mr. Boofhead's mother? Apparently you...

Did you become violent when strangers called your mother 'fat' in the schoolyard? I'm guessing yes...

Also, thanks for acknowledging my previous 'dig' at you - they do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...

I didn't imitate you, i directly quoted you.

I thought even you would be intelligent enough not to resort to yo' momma jokes like a 10yr old, apparently not. I shouldn't be surprised.

Should I say "move on" one more time or would I be wasting my time? (this is getting really old)

Wasting your time doesn't seem like a problem to you. The number of times you mention 'move on', but still seem incapable of taking your own advice.
